Subscribe to Community-wide general discussion Need to print Business Cards

Now that I have a fabulous new business card design and log thanks to the lovely and talented Brianna Young I am looking to get some business cards printed.

Does anyone have experience with a good, green (meaning environmentally friendly) printer that they can reccommend? I'd prefer someone in Seattle but online is good too.

Thanks for the help! Charles

Charles, search "printing" in Biz Talk and you'll pull up a few past threads of suggestions, including these. With good reason, this topic seems to come up here every so often.

    Cheers.

Thanks for the plug, Charlie! :) I recently used Overnightprints.com and was VERY pleased with the service, price, and outcome of my cards.

You can try Minuteman Press. They're a franchise with several locations in Seattle. I know their prices are pretty good, but you'd have to call and ask them how green their operation is. The one I use is at 1006 NE 50th St, and their number is 206-522-9583.

minuteman is pretty green and you can use neenah environment stock which has 100% post consumer recycled content paper, which they carry.

if you use them, tell them i told you about their green printing, as we have a relationship developed with them already.

Bob and Leslie run the Aurora branch.

Their prices are fair. That being said, United Reprographics at 4th and Holman, south downtown, have even better rates and i'm sure you can get the same recycled content paper. Neenah is a major brand which you can even get online, at Paper Zone, etc.

If you got to UR, ask for Carrie Curley and tell her I sent you! I got referred to Carrie from Elizabeth here on Biznik and have nothing but great stuff to say about her. She is a lot of fun to work with and very update. A can-do gal.

If you want to go online, options are: www.greenerprinter.com www.gregbarberco.com or is it: www.gregbarbercompany.com

I have print samples from both companies and they look really great!

Good luck! If you have any further questions, I am a great resource for green-related stuff in the biz!

    Cheers Amy

I had our business cards printed through Minute Men via Amy and they turned out fantastic!

I certainly recommend Carrie Curley at United Reprographics. She is going to join us all here at Biznik one of these fine days. You can reach her at 206. 851. 9232. She truly is a stellar human being.

So, for those of you who don't know, Tim does printing with soy based inks and recycled paper. He is about as green as it gets in the printing industry. He is a Biznik located here: (http://biznik.com/members/tim-ohagan)
