NEW California Professional Organization for Those Who Conduct Workplace Investigations

late September, a new California professional organization -- California Association of Workplace Investigators or CAOWI -- was formed for people who conduct workplace investigations, including attorneys, HR professionals, private investigators, auditors, loss prevention specialists, etc. CAOWI intends to create opportunities for these professionals to come together to network, to obtain advanced training, to establish professional and ethical standards and to educate the public about this emerging profession.

In its first year of existence, CAOWI plans to hold several best practices rountables for participating members and is planning an annual conference in late Fall of 2010.
