Subscribe to Community-wide general discussion Paul Stamets on: How Mushrooms Can Help Save the World:

This guy is really interesting and an expert in his field. He is giving a talk about the deep and wide footprint of one of natures more silent but powerful forces: Fungi

Did you know that there's a kind of fungi that can digest jet fuel?

Did you know that fungi are now thought to be more closely related to animals than to plants?

He's giving a free talk at Bastyr University at 7pm, this Monday, Wednesday the 7th.

Also, email me if you are interested in car pooling to this event. Since it's at all the way over at Bastyr (Kenmore), the commute will likely be more fun if I can share the ride. I am coming from the Queen Anne area.

It is a grueling drive to Bastyr. What the heck are they doing out there in the middle of nowhere anyway?

I would be interested in this event. But, only if you entertain me with good jokes on the trip over.
