Subscribe to Community-wide general discussion Phone numbers beginning to need 10 numbers

I just want to give everyone a heads up that Qwest is now shifting the call system within 206. I already have seen this happen to me twice, but as a ex phone employee, it means that they have reach saturation and will now require 206 as an indicator local with the number, requiring that you dial 206 with the number and without the 1 to make a local call.

I'm surprised it's taken this long.. When I lived in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania Verizon did this to us in 1997 or 1996.
