SHINE video update

As many of you already know, we began posting your SHINE video clips on Friday. If you participated in SHINE, your clip is likely waiting for you near the top center column of your Biznik profile. If yours isn't there, it's because we're still working on it - and we're planning to have it posted by the end of the day today.

If you DO have your SHINE clip, share it with the rest of us! You can do that on Facebook's fan page, where I'm posting each and every one of the member clips as fast as I know about it. So, be sure to visit the fan page and post a link to your clip as soon as you've got it posted.

Dan, I LOVE our video! But help, I can't figure out how to save it. When I cntrl/click it doesn't show an option to save as... I have a MacBook...any suggestions for this technologically challenged soul?

I had the same trouble. If you control/click right on the link in Dan's message it works fine.

Thanks Dennis - that's exactly right Elise - control click and it'll give you the option to save it on your computer. Then, you'll take that file and upload it to YouTube or any of the other supported services, to post it - then you can take the embed code and post it on Biznik to get your video posted on Biznik.

Thanks Dennis and Dan. Now another question... my video is 272 MG and still hasn't downloaded after one hour...any way to make it smaller?

I spoke with another member who had trouble downloading these very large files also. Her solution, and probably yours, is to find a place with a faster internet connection for the download, OR start the download before you go to bed at night and it'll be done by morning.

We're in the process of posting the final remaining files right now - it's taking awhile to transfer all the files, but they should all be up by 6pm tonight. Hooray! We're thrilled to have them all delivered finally.

I've posted some tips for what to do with you video once you've downloaded it for those who have questions.

Thanks Dan. I'll keep checking - still not in there. I probably cussed too much (like a sailor, got it from my mom) and it takes extra time to edit the profanities I'd imagine ;-)

SHINE missing video update: Good news and bad news.

We have scoured our hard drives, both at Caution Zero networks, who did the social media edit, and on our own drives, and we found 3 of the missing files. However, we did not locate three of them - Sandy Glaze, Judy Tallant and Bridget Smith's files are completely AWOL.

We have no idea how we could have lost them, but somehow we did. We went to a lot of effort and time to try to locate the files. However, we've been unable to locate them, and for that we are deeply sorry.

We'd like to make it up to you. All three of you who were affected by this I'd like to give you your choice of Biznik t-shirt, Biznik coffee mug, or Biznik notebook - you can pick from the Biznik online shop, and email me your choice, and I'll put it in the mail to you. Again sorry for the mistake and thank you for participating in SHINE.
