Fruit. I love it. Brings my blood sugar back up and it's guilt free. Talk shows are also a good way to help me stop thinking for a while.
Show me yours and I'll show you mine
Tee hee. Made you look.
How do y'all cope with stress when the going gets tough? What's your fave on-the-fly stress busting technique?
Here are some of mine, which I have been using ALOT lately :)
• Jazz or blues radio make me relax • Cartoon break!!! • Danceable music in the studio for impromptu boogie breaks (yeah, I keep the blinds closed sometimes) • Play with my dog, who's always ready for some P-L-A-Y • Quick nature walks with said dog • Stretches • Quickie art break: stare at Carolyn Polk's paintings for 10 seconds (I own 3) • Chamomile tea and dark chocolate
These are my fave on-the-fly coping strategies. What are yours? I am always adding more to my repertoire so your ideas are appreciated.

I listen to no vocal music Jazz or film. I also bicycle a couple of times a week, though I haven't been on my bicycle due to an accident to my car - not my fault, but still... no rental would allow me to put my bike rack on.
I would go for a walk, but I like company.

Thanks everyone! These are all fun! Chasing squirrels, heh!
And I love how popular chocolate is. In fact, maybe I'll have some...right now.....

And fun with friends, which can include movies, good food, wandering around any normal or weird public place, being spazzy, etc. I'm such a damn extrovert. :D

I'll agree with Hannah on collaging....
There are a bunch of things (that were listed above) that I "should" be doing (which I sometimes do).
But what I actually do that works is going to my magazine pile and start cutting out pictures to add to my collage box (that is essentially for my clients). I turn on some music and start cutting away without the intention of doing anything with them.
This helps me get into a different frame of mind and mood.
Seriously though, cutting out pics from Travel magazine takes me to Belize with my best friend and a great cosy book. ;-)
