Sweet, I was wondering if that story was ever going to come out. Have you gotten a sneak peak of it? I'm curious and a little nervous to hear how much of my ramblings she includes... :) But I'm excited and know it will be great for Biznik for sure! -Leif (will it air nationally or just locally?)
Tune in tomorrow morning to hear Biznik's first national media coverage on NPR's Morning Edition
Remember that story that NPR correspondent Wendy Kaufman has been working on about Biznik for the past few months? Well, she's finished her story, and she just informed me it's scheduled to air tomorrow morning (here in Seattle anyway) at 6:50 and 8:50 am on KPLU (88.5) and at 6:50 on KUOW (94.9). So if you were among those interviewed at the McLeod Residence back in December, be sure to tune in!

It's airing nationally. And no I haven't heard it yet. I am a little nervous myself!

Well, I have to admit, I only had one ear to the radio as I got my son and wife out the door for school... But it certainly presented biznik as a different networking alternative to the norm. I have been trying to figure out why that is exactly, and the common denominator around here seems to be that everyone seems very enthusiastic.

Well done, Dan, Lara and Annie.
If this doesn't produce a visible bump-up in memberships from all over the NPR listening world, I won't be the only one surprised.

Thanks for the link, Jake. And welcome to Biznik! I'm happy to see another Boston-area Biznik join. We've been talking to another Boston Biznik, Sandi Hussain about throwing a Boston BizJam (Biznik's big indie business conference) there at some point - mabye early next year? Stay tuned!

Great piece about this terrific organization. Congrats Lara and Dan and good luck with getting that server paid off!

Bob and I just listened to the story. What great exposure for Biznik! Couldn't see it, Dan and Lara, but enjoyed the "tour" of your living room. :) If this doesn't bring a new surge in member numbers I don't know what will.
Oh, and Leif, it's a bummer when you get edited out, huh. Our daughter, in her early days in Hollywood, was filmed for a small part in a Seinfeld episode. She told her parents and grandparents, friends, etc. When we tuned in, she was nowhere in sight. Got left on the cutting room floor!
Enjoyed the NPR story. Congrats to Dan and Lara!

What a great piece! And a wonderful reminder that we can all help you guys get that server paid off, keep Biznik around, by ponying up the relatively small sum for a sponsoring membership.

Dan - I'd love to know how many new members join today, if you're willing/able to share that info! It's been so fun to see the influx of new folks - yay for NPR!

It's crazy how a story like this can make an impact - Biznik was averaing 32 new members a day - today so far after the story we're almost at 500.

NPR is one of the greatest stations and those who listen to it are of distinct character of good taste!!This is so exciting that this Biznik made the national news. For someone like me who has only been a member for a short while-I have been very imnpressed with the level of articles-advise-friendlienss-ease of use-the whole site offers. Its a good thing!! Welcome New members!! Take the time and really travel thru the whole site. Its worth it!!
