I'm very impressed by how many cool and creative Biznikers there are. I'm sure it would be fascinating to see what's on your bookshelves!

Do you have some cool books you're reading now that you think other Biznikers might like?

Are there some classics or favorites that you recommend?

Business, creativity, biography, fiction, whatever!

Malcolm Gladwell's Blink is on my reading list. I read his book The Tipping Point a couple years ago and found it to be very insightful.

I'm a big fan of Seth Godin and consider his Permission Marketing to be a paradigm-shifting work.

Steve Krug's Don't Make Me Think is a great book about the importance of keeping your web site simple and easy to use.

I'm also a big fan of Paul Hawken and his books The Ecology of Commerce and Natural Capitalism.

Finally, I'm being fairly blown away by Donna Eden's book, Energy Medicine, and the accompanying DVDs, right now. If everyone learned these simple and fun energy techniques, the world would be a less stressful, competitive place!

I'm in the middle of Malcolm Gladwell's Blink right now.

Dan just finished reading The Rise of the Creative Class and can't stop talking about it, so that's next on my list.

Dan and I have a copy of Don't Make Me Think

If I can find a cheap copy of a highly recommended book on half.com, I like to buy it so it's handy the next time Dan or are ready for the next read.

Right now our office bookshelf contains: Seth Godin's Purple Cow Douglas Atkin's the Culting of Brands Chris Anderson's The Long Tail Barry Schwartz's The Paradox of Choice Scoble Isreal's Naked Conversations Danile Pink's Free Agent Nation Diller, Shedroff & Rhea's Making Meaning

(Man! I've got a lot of reading to catch up on.)

The last great piece of fiction I've read is The Time Traveler's Wife by Audrey Niffenegger. A gripping love story that is so cleverly written that you're often left having to stop and try to wrap your head around what exactly's going on.

I am a huge fan of Stephen King and Anne Rule. I am currently 3/4 of the way through John Irvings Cider House Rules and I love the book! Rebecca

In addition to some of the books previously mentioned, here are some of the books I always keep handy.

The Power of an Hour by Dave Lakhani
Attracting Perfect Customers: The Power of Strategic Synchronicity by Stacy Hall
Secrets of the Millionaire Mind T. Harv Eker
Book Yourself Solid by Michael Port
How to Own Your Home Years Sooner - without making extra interest payments by Harj Gill
The Passion Test by Janet, Bray Attwood and Chris Attwood

In my world, anything by Seth Godin is usually worth a look (though sometimes repetitive), as well as Dave Lakhani and Joe Vitale.

    Rebecca
