Just wondering what you folks are up to for Valentine's Day.

Love to hear about how you intend to make it as special and fun as possible..

You fellas who have the good fortune of having your better half haunt Biznik may not wish to openly divulge these details..so by all means email me, but i really must know as i think it will give me insight into where to put my efforts the next couple of days and said info especially helpful in the notes i want to make that will make next year even better for me professionally..thanks!

i seem to have found myself in a fabulous romance just in time for valentines day..altho one need not be in a partnership to celebrate love. love of life, love of self, love for others...who cares what kind of love it is!!!

anyhoo, i am hoping to take mine to a certain event.

i think it will be an extended valentines celebration b/c his birthday is just 4 days later...so fun will be had then too! wee!

it is my pleasure to be partnered with such a man. to say that he is amazing would be falling short of an accurate description. wow.

    i am sooooo very thankful.

Dan and I have reservations at a little crepe place where we had our first date. It's not a fancy place - we went there on a first date afterall - but we've returned for the last 4 valentine's day dinners.

When it comes to gifts I prefer homemade cards on valentine's day - the globbier the glue the better. I also prefer the simplicity of 3 longstem gerber daisies in one of our arty vases over an elaborate bouquet with roses, and 4 or 5 amazing artisian chocolates that may cost $3-$4/piece over a box of 2 dozen assorted ones.

But that's just me and I've always been kind of particular about stuff like that...

thank you so much Amy and Lara for you input.. i wish you both a fantastic Vday..

Lara, have you ever had chocolates from a place called Chocolati? They have fantastic handmade chocolates. We are looking forward to becoming a vendor.. For the artsy vase i'd refer you to our fellow Bizniker Atom Kahn (whom i've been trying to see about having some of his glass here! Atom 12, Atom 12...we have an APB for you..:))

I love gerbera daisies for their simplicity and friendliness.. Lara, have you ever seen a spider gerbera daisy? they look like little punk rockers hanging out in their containers having such a good time..(now you know i spend too much time alone with flowers!)..they are sooo fun..maybe i'll post a pic of some to my flickr..i understand the going rate for gerberas is about 4.50 during Valentines, but since you really prefer three at a time it sounds like Dan really lucked out there in yet another way..you are an affordable person to please/low maitenance..always a virtue from a guys perspective i think.

anyone else have any Valentine's favorites?

    cheers, Justin

I can whole heartedly second Chocolati!!!! And not only are their chocolates to DIE for so are their drinks!!!!!

As for our valentines day... we have been married going on (ahem) 27 years (we were high school sweethearts) so we tend to keep things simple. (not to mention we are usually dead tired at the end of the day!)

Will fix a nice dinner at home (lets see...buffalo steaks? kung pao chicken? frozen meat pies?)....

I bought him, what I hope is gourmet chocolate, which is what he said he wanted. If they are any good I will blog them!

And in the spirit of promoting other cool Bizniks, Elena Anzalone is a Biznik chocolatier.
