Subscribe to Community-wide general discussion Where else do you hang out online (biz wise)

While we all know that Biznik is the best community to grow your business, I'm curious what other sites people spend time on to either learn about business, get support for their business, connect with other indie folks, etc.

    Leif... I hang out and receive inspiration and business advice daily at Billionaire U.

    I learn practical business tips from one of my favorite mentors. The curriculum is just the ticket for entrepreneurs and it only takes me about 10-15 minutes everyday for my continuing education.

    And, I have made some great connections from the monthly teleconferences and a few live events. ...Howard

    I spend a fair amount of time at StartupNation and I've just created a profile at the new Oddpodz. Of course, I'm on a wide variety of social networking and portfolio sites that are much more design industry related.

    All send a great deal of business my way.

    I spend quite a bit of time with a now hoary ancient old internet networking tech, the email list. Specifically the cinematography mailing list, which first started as an AOL board, and became a mailing list around '96. There's a web site too, http://www.cinematography.net where the posts can be read and replied to and are threaded and archived, but I think most people read it as email.

    Thanks for the collection of resources Howard, Jeff & Steven. I'll be checking them out over the next couple of weeks, seeing how Biznik can add value to them, as well as letting them know about Biznik.

    And Steven, you've made me realize that one way to go is to find specific industry niche sites where members are likely to have their own business and would find value from a site like Biznik. Thanks! -leif

    I use LinkedIn daily, it keeps me informed about previous co-workers and vendors.

    It is also a good way to get contact information so when I cold call I usually have a contact name and sometimes a good name to drop.

    Heya, Leif!

    I'm a new convert to Twitter and completely and totally in love. (And it's all your fault!)

    @inspiredjen, in case you're wondering. :)

    I'm on LinkedIn (not participating in a mega-way) and just joined Twitter (under the name of solomarketer).

    There is too much out there and one needs to pick and choose carefully!

    I'm on LinkedIn, twitter (@eyloni), digg, stumbleupon, hugg, and a gazillion of blogs backlogged on my trusty Google Reader.

    Thanks for all the resources guys. Just so we don't get too far off track (and sorry for getting you hooked Jennifer!), my main point was what other sites do you go to get support for and learn about building our business? (ie do for you what biznik does for you)
