I always say this time of year "I am my own best valentine."

If you don't really love yourself, how can you really love another? This is my friendly encouragement for those who struggle in the department of love to take a look at your relationship with your self first and see where that can improve.

Have you ever noticed that those who radiate from the inside attract more people to them?

I don't like to see people get depressed this time of year if they don't have a sweetie. Be your own sweetie and practice self-love and pampering if you don't have another person to do that with! We have some great Bnikers here who can help you do that with massage, facials, personal training or other forms of self love that have to do with your environment like organizing, decorating, etc.

Go to the members section and type in your self-love topic of choice and see WHO can help YOU be your own best Valentine this year!

    YAY!

well said Amy. In fact, i may just have to drop off a little something for you in salute to your strength and spirit.

And i don't think that you have to be in a relationship to enjoy chocolate, flowers, or any of the things you mentioned Amy. I am all for self love. Treat yourself folks and celebrate your independence at the same time!

Hubby and I ususally go out to a nice dinner... although one year we bought a tree together to put in our garden...

as far as business goes... Most people seem to go for chocolates/flowers for this particular holiday so we do not create anything specific with our products for Valentines day.

romance can be alive and well even if you are single and it's not reserved for Vday! I agree with Amy, self love rocks!

Fresh flowers are always at the top of my list and I do not reserve them for holidays. I often buy them for myself whenever I get the chance my favorite being lillies.

I love what you said Amy. That absolutely rocks! I think Valentine's Day is a great excuse for self-pampering.

My favorite pampering thing to do is escape to Breitenbush Hot Springs for a couple of nights. It is so relaxing there: no cell phones, no internet, fresh air, 3 organic meals served hot every day, listening to the sound of the river roaring by. I can't overstate how amazing that place is; if you haven't checked it out you owe yourself. It's great for couples, groups, and families too.

The next best thing is getting some epsom salts, nice essential oils, and candles and soaking in the tub. Play some relaxing music, get some fresh flowers, preferably aromatic ones, and voila - you've entered the chill zone.

Who on Biznik has ideas about where to get good supplies, besides Justin's floral store of course?

I'm lucky enough to have three valentines :)

For my husband this year I purchased some valentine's window clings and I'm going to stick them all over his car before he wakes in the morning for work :) I'm also going to mix him a CD of memorable songs and DJ it myself. We've been married seven years and I still strive to surprise him with my quirkyness. Also, I think my two young daughters will have a blast waking up early with me to decorate Daddy's car!

For my girls I'm going to bring them to Build-a-Bear to make a new furry (albeit stuffed) friend.

My business is not really applicable to the holiday :(
