I am not sure if this will work but could you attach via glue or some other liquid adhesive those small suction cup things to the corners of the clings or are they too fragile? Those are stronger than the average cling and you could then suction the whole thing to the window... May be too bulky though... Just an idea.
Window Clings not Sticking
The clings of our client are curling up at the bottom. They have been uninstalled and reinstalled with a squeegee, to no avail. Our printer says she's never seen this happen.
The clings are in a restaurant and we are wondering if they are not sticking due to the humidity of the environment?
If so, then unfortunately, we'll have to go with stickers, which is less optimal b/c obviously, the client can't take them with him when/if he leaves the space at some point. We think why not conserve resources and also be most cost effective by doing clings but perhaps that is not possible with this situation.
Any advice/experience from the pack?

Generaly , static clings are used for only temporary signs, but they can stay indefinitely if they are applied correcty. Did you spray the window with any kind of solution before you placed them? Also restaurants do have a humidity and steam problem that could be affecting them. My philosophy when it comes to signwork is to make the signs permanent, true you cannot take them with you when you leave, but the advertising value and ambiance created by the graphics should be well worth the investment, otherwise you do look like you don't expect to be in business too long which is the wrong message to be sending to your clientele.

Thanks John! The psychological statement is something I hadn't thought of but a very good one that I'll take with me in my business experiences!
I think we'll go with a sticker that fixes on the inside and is viewable from the outside.
No solution was used in the installation process - just a squeegee, far as I know anyway. The printer didn't say to use a solution. For future reference, what type of solution would one use?
Thanks much!

Amy, there are products especially for that, one is called frog juice, but plain old water with just a teeny bit of dish soap also works. The glass should first be cleaned with alcohol to make sure that there are no oil or silicon spots, especially if it is new glass which has a silicon coating. Old glass is better because it has oxidised and has a more porous surface. Are the clings printed on a digitalb printer or do they have cut vinyl graphics on them?

For those of you who have not met John, he rocks! He isn't some just another yahoo with a wide format digital printer.. John has been in the sign biz for over 30 years. He can actually hand paint signs if needed!
In addition to this, he does have an eye for using his design software. While editing your signs in his software, he draws on that vast pool of experience to create sign layouts with Maximum Pow! Alot of folks think that signs are no brainer items that can be mass printed at Costco or your local printer, but in cutting a little cost that way you may be dumping hundred dollar bills down the gutter.
Cash generating design coupled with attention to detail in the installation process are hallmarks of John's work.
How do i know? I have worked closely with him in creating all the new signage for our store since the beginning of the year. Let me tell ya', i am glad i met this guy. John, you rock! Definitely coming to see you for my vehicle wrap soon.
