    Has anyone received this?

Could this really be the love of my life or just another one of the popular scams?

Well, maybe she is. I am already happily married so I won't stand in your way. A passport and a whole battery of shots and true love can be yours.

Sound like too much work. Plus with this internet thing you never know if its a he or a she. Now wouldn't that be a nice surprise. :)

yeah, a whole bunch of us got it. Dan's taken care of the account, so that one won't be back... but doesn't mean it won't happen again. <sigh> The price of success.

Hey Alex, Lady luck seems to be smiling on you in the new year:-) Jokes apart,i too happen to receive lots of email in past from people to help them in claiming tons of money left in some western bank by some minister/ruler in some nation of Africa. Hope this one is not one of those famous Nigerian Scams! So better watch out...

I get 2-3 fakes at a time. When it's sent to undisclosed, that's almost a giveaway. If you never entered, you can't win, but you can send your money into the hole of greed in any other country.

    It's spam - and I ignore/delete and move on.

As to the woman come on, I'd say the same as above.

As in Hill Street Blues, "Be careful out there."

Dakar, Senegal is a beautiful place. I say go for it!! Just buy a one way ticket and throw caution to the wind. Q from the computer unsavvy: Who is actually generating these emails and how do they get into my inbox? Yahoo has been very good about blocking most spam, but I too have won the UK lottery (twice!!) and have a distant African relative who needs my help in recovering Nigerian funds. I would love a breif tutorial about who is doing this. Thanks! els

You only won the UK lottery twice? I've won it 3 times-woops just checked my email-4 times. Elizabeth, you and I have a common relative in Africa. By the way, Alex, what do you call it when the harem is made up of males? I got the same email. I think it's Brittany Spears.
