I know you want a "custom" job however check out the offerings from smashingmagazine.com > "Wordpress Themes" in the lower right nav bar.

They tend to be much higher quality than what you would find at themes.wordpress.net for example and are still totally free.

So if you find one close to what you need you will save a ton of coin having a designer "tweak" a template rather than build one from the ground up.

Bonus, like most WP themes these are super easy to tweak with just a little CSS and Photoshop.

I actually found a decent theme and then dressed it up with my own images and some changes to the Stylesheet...I have to say, I'm quite pleased with myself! :)

still gotta get my theme installed.. glad to know they can be tweaked in adobe..now i just got to learn adobe.:)
