Great to find a hip community of fellow forward thinking entrepreneurs and social networkers. I'm interested in connecting with....
1. Creators or developers of large-scale web 2.0 sites
2. Other stellar idea people and website owners who are looking for ways to cross-promote their website and or eNewsletter.
3. Those cool cats small business and boutique owners who cater to parents, singles and/or offer products or services that could be of benefit to our audience.
4. Promotional partners to help us grow our user base and mailing list!

Have you contacted your local Babies R Us/Toys R Us store? I use to do promotional work for them and they use to do in store seminars for parents.
I can certainly put together some ideas for you if you are interested. I think your sites are great!

I actually checked out your site(iheartsingleparents) several months ago after hearing it mentioned on the radio, (even though I'm not single, but am a parent.) It seemed like a great networking site not just for single parents but also relating to other parents not raising their children in a household with both bio-parents.
I'll have to check out your other site as well. I look forward to "seeing" you around Biznik!

Just so happens that I cater to singles looking for love...so those single parents who are ready for a new love in their life I can help!
I have family in Portland so coming down there to do biz is not a problem.

As a new Biznik memeber, I wanted to make sure you knew about a Biznik function that is coming up on Feb. 12, 2009.
There are 3 Biznik members hosting this event, and we are trying a New Idea in Social Networking, which is called: Biznik Bowling for Food & Dollars Food Bank Food Drive.
New because we are adding a couple of additional elements to the event on top of meeting other professional Biznik networkers, making it a 3-fold event to include:
1) of course is meeting other local industry professionals from the online Biznik community.
2) we are supporting a great charity, the Oregon Food Bank
3) then socializing with an element of fun just for good measure!
It is always easier to meet people while sharing a common bond. Granted, we all have businesses to talk about and share information, but sometimes people find it hard to break into a conversation - then talk about themselves or their business. So when we put another's need ahead of our own, we really have something we can bond and share together. With the added bonus of some fun antics while enjoying bowling and socializing.
