Good day! My name is Joel Myers, owner and founder of Clarity Drug Test Consultants. I started this business nearly two years ago in hopes of helping families and businesses in my community be drug-free. My intention is to help parents educate their teens about the perils of drug use and perform in house drug testing if they suspect their teen may be already using. We offer a "Drug-Free Contract" for families to abide by as an incentive for their children to remain drug-free. Our other goal is to help keep our community free of drugs by targeting business drug testing. Fewer than 5% of businesses currently drug test their employees. Did you know that Drug users at a minimum consume almost twice the medical benefits as nonusers, are absent 1.5 times as often, and make more than twice as many workers’ compensation claims? Among 20 – 34 year-old full-time employed Americans, 20.2 percent used an illicit drug in the past year and 9.5 percent used an illicit drug in the past month, including significant marijuana and cocaine use. I know many of you are small business owners and have very close connections with your few employees. As your business grows you may want to ad a drug/alcohol testing policy to protect your business and demonstrate to your community that drug use isn't acceptable.
