Dude, welcome to Biznik!
Dude! Not just a word, a way of being...
Just thought I would stop in and say howdy to the rest of the biznik community. I look forward to seeing more of a Tacoma representation here as well as meeting the rest of the community. I am impressed with the amount of information on this community site and hope that I can contribute in a positive way.
About the title
I have never seen a word that 1) is not totally vulgar and 2 ) can convey a volley of emotions and 3 ) have a variety of meanings like the word Dude. Perhaps some day I will pen a blog entry about it, provided I find the time :)
Nonetheless...Hiya!

Hey Dude, There is a Tacoma mastermind meeting that takes place once a month... Bob mentioned it already. Even some of us Olympia Biznikers make it up there :-).
Honestly... I like the word "DUDE" too. It's just fun to say.

Born and raised in Tacoma, the City of Destiny holds a special place in my heart.
Welcome to Biznik, Chris (can't quite bring myself to say "Dude" yet -- at least without sounding like a complete idiot.)
Have you thought of hosting some Tacoma events? Something tells me you'd be a great host.

Bud is a word that could have been like dude but not quite on dude's level. Sort of like "Bro". Could be an endearment term or gardner talk or just a way of saying hey bud. I like the thought. When applied to business maybe a word like networking can bring up thoughts like "that networking dude". Or "networking sucks, dude, so try biznik! lol

Dear Dude,
I must say, I love the word "dude". It is honest and sincere. Emphatic in its many shades of meaning.
Embrace your inner dudeness. And welcome to Biznik!

Hi Dude! This is the Dude from the South... sunny San Diego. Dude is one of my youngest son's favorite words. It has many connotations but it can be a casual-friendly-sweety and yes, vulgar name. You're right, the amount of juicy information here is phenomenal. I don't google anymore, I just come here :) Welcome to the neighborhood. Patricia www.patriciakor.com

Dude,
Welcome!
I'm interested to see what cha cha has to say in regards to "dude" so I text the word to them. Before I get their response, an ad for pasta to entice my appetite. Yummy.
Oh, cha cha asked me to rephrase...I wrote, what b dude? They replied that they are kicking around answers to the question...hope this is good. They want to know if I like country music....huh?
More ads, if I want lame pickup lines. Txt PUL. They still didn't understand the question. I tried, "what b a "dude"? Pretending no speak englishy.
They sent back a joke....why don't you slip into something more comfortable; like a coma. tee hee.
Now they tell me I have a new guide, what is the question again. I wrote back, "you may me mad. What iz a dude?
Now they say, TXT PND for fun and funny palindromes and be a word wiz. Still haven't answered the question....hmmm
This is funny; they answered, " a man who is much concerned with his dress and appearance.
I was hoping for something much better than that.....oh well, welcome to Biznik, dude. Looking good....

The title first makes me think of "Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure"
In honor of that I found this: "Keanu Reeves the most famous "dude" in America. He sets the record by using "dude" 10 times in the first 15 minutes of the film. He sends the rest of the film trying to break that record, dude!"
Tacoma, huh? I was born and raised there - graduate of Wilson High School. It is always nice to meet others from that area.
Have a nice day dude!
