freelance design studio in los angeles
hi biznik people, just wanted to introduce myself! i am a freelance art director focusing on print design with a studio in los angeles. i do all types of print design: brochures & promo kits, CD/music packaging, self-mailers, event & exhibit collateral, books & publications, logos & identity development, ads & branding campaigns and more.
my move to exclusive freelance is fairly recent, so i am working on client building and networking. i noticed we don't have any events coming up in the LA area, anyone want to partner up and offer one?
for those interested, my web site is heatherparlato.com. please contact me if you have any questions. thanks!

Hey Heather, welcome! There are now 186 members in LA area, so I think there are plenty enough to get some events happening. It's super easy to get started with a happy hour networking event. Just decide on a place and time, and post your event here. If you do that, I will personally send an invitation email to all 186 members in LA inviting them to your event. That ought to stir things up :-)
Best, Dan

Welcome, Heather!
You might try The Standard downtown for your event. The roof space is perfect for informal gatherings and it's got a great view. My company used to use it quite a bit.
As a former downtown LA resident I thought I would throw my two cents in. Hope it helps.
