Subscribe to Introduce your bad indie self Freelance Graphic Designer

I am a freelance graphic designer in Spokane, Washington, recently relocated from San Francisco. I have just launched my new web site (http://www.tinereese.com) and I'd like to hear what you think about it. I'm always looking for new clients as well as others to partner with on projects. Photographers, illustrators and writers who may have a need to work with a graphic designer should contact me.

I specialize in design work for small businesses, nonprofits, foundations and arts organizations. My previous clients have included the American Conservatory Theater, Business for Social Responsibility, San Francisco Opera, Marin Education Fund, and RSF Social Finance.

I am currently working on projects that include logos, visual identities, web sites and business cards. I'm especially excited to be designing a new web site for one of Spokane's premiere yoga studios.

Any advise you can offer about optimizing my profile or other activities on Biznik would be appreciated.

Thanks all!

Welcome Tine, from one designer to another (and an ex-Spokanite). Sounds like you have done a lot for nonprofits -- good for you. And nice site, very easy to navigate.

I'm sure you will find Biznik great and I know that the Spokane group is growing.

    Happy networking, Bob

Hi Tine, I used to work in Spokane for many years as a journalist at The Spokesman-Review. Have you met Biznik's Spokane ambassador yet? I'll send you an introduction. I know she's hosting at least one event every month now, so that would be a great place to start for advice on how to get the most from this community. And here online, of course :-)

    Welcome!

    Tine -

Welcome to Biznik from another design professional. I once spoke to design students at Spokane Falls Community College and Eastern Washington University, and to the Spokane Ad Federation. There's a great creative resources community in Spokane and on Biznik. Enjoy!

I think I'm the only one that hasn't visited Spokane :). However, I lived in Vancouver, WA when I was young. The site is very nice. It has clean navigation and great portfolio photos. The only thing I would suggest, which probably is on your mind, is to learn CSS for your future web design projects. Once you learn how to design with CSS, it actually makes designing sites easier. It looks like you have some knowledge of it because you use the SPAN element. Good luck freelancing! I really like your work.

Hello Tine! Welcome to beautiful WA State. I live on the Olympic Peninsula of WA State.

I am a virtual assistant with a passion for writing. I have created web content, articles, bios, resumes, and I am a blogger.

I am pleased to meet a "local" for outsourcing graphic design.

This forum is unmoderated, but please keep discussion courteous and not too far off topic.
