Subscribe to Introduce your bad indie self Hi!

Just wanted to introduce my bad self. I live in Ballard, Uff Da!, I do product design and development, Ya sure you betcha! I am married with two kids and a dog named Skjooter. (I'm not Norwegian but I'm trying to blend in)

I originally came from Southern California. (It was many years ago and it's almost completely worn off so don't hate me)

It is nice to be a part of this business network. ( I noticed it's lack of suckiness right away! )

At any rate, Hi!

Erik

    EriK:

What type of product design and development do you do?

I am originally from New Jersey and although it has been many years it has not worn off at all.

Biznik is a terrific business network and really does not suck at all. Try and make it to an event or two. There is always something happening that should suit your taste..small event or large event. There are interesting people all around to inspire you and that you will inspire.

    Welcome

    Thanks for the welcome Elizabeth.

I have done mainly medical related product for about the last 15 years but have done consumer products as well.

I am really liking what I have seen so far here, seems like a great place to make connections. And, yes I will definitely try to make it to some events.

    Thanks again!

Welcome, Erik! And Uff Da to you, too! Thanks for introducing your bad self. I also live in Ballard. I'm married and have a very sweet cat named Zappa. Bob (Florine), my husband and fellow Biznik, and I moved here two summers ago from NC and feel like we found "home" here in Seattle (and more specifically, Ballard). This feels significant since we have both lived in several states (KY, CO, TX, NC, GA).

I second what Elizabeth said about Biznik. I have found it to be a pretty amazing community. Hope to meet you at an event soon!

    -Rachel

    Hi Eric and welcome.

What do you mean by "lack of suckiness?" Kaya

Thank you all for your welcome to Biznik!

Rachel, that is indeed high praise for Ballard, with you having lived in so many different places. Even with all of the local development going on I think that Ballard still has sort of a small town "Norman Rockwell" kind of flavor. We have been in Ballard for about 13 years and I really love it here. Justin, I really like the idea of a Ballard event of some kind, that would be terrific.

Thanks for the welcome Anita, this site has a nice local flavor and casualness that I really like, I have been spreading the word about it.

Hi Kaya, I was just joking around about the"lack of suckiness" With their motto being "business networking that doesn't suck" :)

Thanks all again and I look forward to meeting you at one of the events!

I've been to Ballard, several times, and I like it. My wife loves Cupcake Royale, and your library is awesome. Does that count?

I think of it as being similar to Detroit, except that it's clean, progressive, safe, and has a thriving economy...

Otherwise...o.k., not similar at all. Actually we both get about the same amount of rain...
