Subscribe to Introduce your bad indie self I need to find my customers.....

I own Green Cuisine Herbs in Portland, Oregon.

Here is the scoop:

We started this company after the birth of our twins boys. This is when I became increasingly more conscious of the food I was feeding my family. Armed with that curiosity, my love of food, and the opportunity to work with a seasoned herbalist, Green Cuisine was born. I wanted to put the fun back into cooking and entertaining, and doing that meant making things a little simpler in the busy life of this stay-at-home-mom.

Now: I need help marketing, we have a great product that sells well - but how do I get out there?

We are at www.greencuisineherbs.com

Welcome to Biznik, Charrisse! As fate has it, you are the 13,000th member of this community, and I've continued my tradition of marking milestones such as this one by blogging about you and your business. Hopefully that will help answer, in a tiny yet not completely insignificant way, your question about getting out there! I expect you'll meet some other members here who are experts in marketing who can help you even further.

Hi Charrisse! I think you'll find Biznik a great place to gain business ground for your delicious looking products. From time to time I hear from journalists across the country who are looking for "green" products and/or "cuisine-related" items. I'll be sure to keep you in mind when such opportunitites arise. Best, Karen

Hi Charrisse I can so relate to your story although I didn't have twins- only one but he took up the space for two more! I also marketed whole foods once. Lets meet for a cup of tea and brainstorm. Kaya

    Welcome Charrisse,

You are in a wonderful location, Portland, for your business to thrive!! I am so excited for you! Your business has a unique niche and is in an area that more and more people are wanting. Healthy, Green Alternatives.

Basically, You have a great start with the community at Biznik - it is fun and supportive. So continue to look at many of the other social networking sites and make sure that they support your own approach to business. Getting on the wrong site can do as much harm as the correct site can do wonderful things for you.

You might want to find someone that you resonate with to support you and your business in the marketing sense. And make sure that they can offer you a wide array of options and solutions to meet your specific needs. Does it matter if they have worked in the food industry? Maybe, that would be up to you. But more importantly are you both on the same page with how you want to position your business and that you both understand your target market.

I/we at Zebra Graphics have a wholistic and integrated approach to marketing, meaning that there is a way to market that incorporates all venues together. It increases the ability to brand your business, by seeing the "big picture." The best part of what we do are our clients. We love to watch the growth in our clients and ourselves as we continue to learn and prosper together.

Again welcome, and I know you will find all kinds of great information here at Biznik. In fact there is a Brainstorming Session at Lauralhurst Park on Wednesday July 2. If you go to the top of the page and click on Events, it is the second event listed called Brown Bag Biznik, put on by David Billings. I'll be there and it would be great to meet you! Hope you can make it. Roberta@ZebraGraphics.net
