Subscribe to Introduce your bad indie self If you love cooking and cocktails then we need to talk!

My company is called La Diva Cucina and I teach people how to throw a fabulous cocktail party! My class is called "small bites, BIG DRINKS" and you learn to make 6 appetizers, 3 cocktails and lots of party throwing tips and bar tending secrets!

I'm in Miami Beach and do a number of classes with travelers coming to Miami and looking for something unique to do. I also do bachelorette, birthday parties, family reunions and corporate happy hours!

As I'm a new business (only one year) I want to open myself up to you experts out there for any good advice! My biggest problem is I'm just one person trying to do it all: market, PR, build website, network and get suckered into this silly social networking stuff!!! I'm having my doubts about the validity of it all: FB for my biz, email newsletters and Twitter. Anybody doing anything like me getting good results from these methods?

Thanks and Ciao!

Good luck Laura! I'm sure you will be very successful. I, too, am overwhelmed by all of the social networking stuff. I'm too new though to determine yet whether it will work but I'm hopeful. Can anyone else comment on their social networking success?

I do Facebook, blogging and have a FB fan page. I also belong to Link'd in, It's a Small World, Biznik and who knows what else? I just don't have time to really play around with all these websites to see what works and what doesn't.

I have not even finished my linked in profile yet from months ago!

A FB friend that owns a store gets a lot of success from using FB. Me, not so much. Sometimes it's like Helloooooooo....is any body out there.....out there.....out there.........!!!

This forum is unmoderated, but please keep discussion courteous and not too far off topic.
