Hey! A shout out! Kelly is the daughter of Bob and Judy Dunn. So anyone with a warm welcome, would love to hear from you.
If you are old enough to remember, Kellye played in skits on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno. Her character: Monica Lewinski.
Hi! My name is Kellye Rowland and I am one of the many actor slash waiters on this fine planet! Are there any others here at Biznik? My parents are members and they encouraged me to join because they've met many wonderful, cool folks along the way and I guess I thought I would give it a shot even though I am not a business owner. So hello and nice to be here! I may be moving back to the fine city of Los Angeles here soon to make my "third time's a charm" go at my lifelong passion: acting. I wonder if I can do it this time without major soul crushage! :) Well, if anyone else here loves the theater and/or has a kind or encouraging word, feel free to message me! No trolling for TV or film roles anymore for me.. Does anyone even do theater in L.A. anymore??? Argh!! Cheers! Kellye

Well I just adore Bob and Judy Dunn so I am looking forward to loving me some Kellye Rowland.
So what would you like to do with your life if you could do anything?
Yay! That's sweet! I would love to just be able to be onstage again because I love delving into the human condition and soul and letting others in on that process in a profound way. That is what good theater is to me: a mirror to hold up to ourselves; good, bad and ugly. If only it paid cause I am about sick to death of waiting tables! Thanks for listening Elizabeth!
Have you tried NY theatre?
I could never be an actor so I commend you for being able to expose yourself like that. Keep with it!!!!!
I hope we can meet one day soon. Get yourself to an event girl.
No, although I have thought about it many a time. I love New York and thought about two places to move when I was 18-there and L. A. Well, my parents had already moved to the San Diego area so I went west coast because it was easier at the time and I knew no one in New York. I just read about the 5 steps event on Wednesday and I'm going to see if I can maybe make it! :)
I will be at the 5 steps event and look forward to meeting you!
I've been a theatre junkie for most of my life! I've never done any serious acting, but have done my stint in the community theatre circut. I've been dying to get back into it.
Glad to meet another junkie!
You'll meet lots of great people here! Welcome!
Smiles,
Melinda
Thanks for the warm welcome all! Maybe I can get to an event soon! Cheers! Kellye
Welcome Kellye. I love what your parents do and think that Biznik has a lot to offer the more you get involved.
I love the theatre and like Melinda have done community and college productions, but isn't starting a business like being an actor? You are stepping onto the stage with an unknown audience. You prepare, adjust and try to meet the needs of the audience. Yep, I think you will find a lot of good stuff here.

Ah, a fellow artist. Welcome.
I haven't been to the theatre much in my life, but I love reading plays.
Any favorites?
Hmmm...favorite plays. I did a scene from Sartre's "No Exit" in college the first time around and it was quite intense. I like most Shakespeare when I have the time to really delve into it. I tried directing for the first time last June and the play was called "Sophie" and it was written by Bryan Willis about a young girl from England who was killed in a car accident on her way to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in the late '90's. It was based on some of her writings and it was very moving.
Also any of August Wilson's "decade" plays are really something. He wrote one play to represent each decade of the 20th century and the African American experience within those time frames and they are great, the ones I've read so far. My favorite is "The Piano Lesson". Check em out if you get a chance!
Hi Kellye! Did you ever have a chance to try out for Wooden O? I am the President of the Mercer Island Arts Council and Perry Lorenzo, Director of Education for the Seattle Opera is coming this Saturday to do a lecture on Romeo & Juliet before the production of Wooden O begins. It starts at 5:30pm in Mercer Island, would you want to go with me and perhaps I could introduce you to a few people and we could brainstorm some ideas.
Cheers!
Helen
Welcome Kellye - and good luck on the move to La-La-Land! - J.
