New to Biznik in NYC area
Hello everyone, I am a Licensed Acupuncturist in NYC and new to Biznik. I'd like to hear from other people in the Biznik community in the NYC area. In general, I'd like to introduce myself to everyone in Biznik. I am active in other networking groups here in the city, and am in constant contact with a variety of business professionals. I'd like to learn how to best utilize this resource. Can any of you give me some ideas of how you got started and what you like about Biznik?

Hi Cindy,
Another Judy here. If I'm not mistaken, they are working to get events going in NYC right now.
I got started in Biznik by just jumping right in. What I like best about Biznik is that it combines online activities (forum discussions, articles, etc.) with the face-to-face events and they both complement each other so well.
Welcome and hope you find this community to be helpful.

Hi Cindy, Welcome from Boston. I learned about Biznik through several of my friends in Seattle and love it. Although the Boston community is still growing, I've found Biznik such a great resource for referrals, getting answers and learning from the articles.
Where in NYC are you located? I have several friends in the NYC area.
Take care, Jen

Thank you all for your replies!
My office is located in the Flatiron district at Broadway and 25th St. Are you familiar with NYC, Jen? I am sure your friends know the area, it is a great location and very hot right now. Lots of new restaurants and building.
Judy, I will keep an eye out for any events in NYC, meanwhile if you'd like to chat, please call. We can even meet in person for a one to one meeting.
Thanks, Cindy

I just registered for Carl's event near NYU at Think Coffee on May 12th.
Anyone else going? Sounds like a nice casual setting.

Great to hear Biznik is sprouting up all over. I will be back east visiting my bestest buddy Kim Severson who writes for the NYT. We are all headed to Gay Family Week in Provincetown end of July. I wonder if Kim would like to join this group? I joined out of my Seattle office but actually live in Alaska....there are 6 Alaskan members and 5,000 Seattle......

Hi Cindy, I wish I had found Biznik sooner as I woud have loved to connect with you when I was in NYC last May. I did a workshop in Long Island and spent a few days in the city. I have friend with an apt. that I can use. My favorite place in the Flatiron Dist. is The Cutting Room. I saw Joan Rivers there. I LOVE NY!
I like to utilize Biznik by posting articles. I've had good responses from only two so far, and I plan on more.
Happy networking! Mindy
