Dan,
I know someone who can help, but she needs the details of the project. How many hours a day, duration, specifics of the training needed...that kind of thing.
This woman is amazing at finding people to help!
Let me know!

I have a client who needs someone to come in and teach them how to generated complex reports in Filemaker. I designed and built a database for them, but I suck at reports, so I want to find someone I can refer that to. Anyone know anybody? This person would need to be locally based here in Seattle.

Is she in Seattle? They need someone who can go into their office.
I told her that the person must be located there, so she's reaching out to her "virtual network" to see who she knows! :)
It's not a very big job, but would likely be an ongoing one, supporting a private school that has a newly installed Filemaker DB they need to know how to use, and they'll need ongoing reports created for them, training, and probably modifications to the database.
Chris Altwegg has been highly reccommended to me by several people while looking to get a database built. One described him as a "highly skilled, multi-talented strategic thinker" and another said "not only can he help you tweak FM to work just for your needs, but his advice on strategy is superb."
His number is 523-6477.
Thanks Annie, I'll give him a ring!
He referred me to Dave Shaw, a developer I actually know but had forgotten about, so it all worked out perfectly. Thanks everyone for your help.
ps. I inivted Dave to join Biznik, so next time anyone needs a Filemaker guy hopefully finding one will be as simple as typing "filemaker" into the search box
I know of a good FileMaker developer. See <http: /> His name is Mike Grueter and he is also board member of Seattle's dBug organization <htttp: />.
