Position: Project Manager Reports to: Trustee Status: ½ time for 3+ months Salary Range: $20 per hour plus DOQ

The Maria Norbury Fund for Animals, a private foundation, is looking for a temporary Project Manager to assist in the development of the International Animal Assistance Network website. The website will primarily serve a community of member organizations committed to improving animal welfare globally. The website is already underway and this position will manage the remainder of the project.

The International Animal Assistance Network is a group of animal grant making foundations, international animal welfare organizations and veterinary assistance organizations that have joined together in an effort to coordinate their work so that their resources are used more effectively and strategically in improving the welfare of all animals throughout the world. The long term goal of this network is to increase the level of funding and services going to animal welfare charities around the world.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone interested in the field of animal welfare—companion animals, farm animals, etc.

Tasks:

·Assist the trustee in the development of the website

·Serve as project manager, working with the website development firm to complete tasks, including content development and management, database design, etc.

·Perform research tasks in the area of animal welfare issues to gather information for the website.

·Coordinate with member organizations in design of website, functionality, and gathering of information for the website.

Knowledge, Skills, Education:

·Bachelor’s degree

·Demonstrated interest in and some knowledge of animal welfare issues

·Familiarity and experience with websites and website project management

·Good organizational and research skills

·Good interpersonal skills

·Competence in use of MS Word, Excel, Access, etc.
