Looking for a Seattle Ruby on Rails developer
Hi everyone -
Here's a great job opportunity for a Seattle Ruby on Rails developer. Either contact me or Amber Rossino (amber@quixotefoundation.org) directly if you're interested.
Quixote Foundation, a progressive family foundation based in Ballard, is in need of a talented Ruby on Rails developer. They have just launched a new RoR site (located at www.quixotefoundation.org) and they're looking to establish an on-going relationship with a quality developer to help build out a client/grantee extranet and a bunch of other custom functionality.
Fairly standard RoR skills are required: - Able to independently develop in a timely manner using Ruby on Rails 1.1 (RJS, migrations, etc.) - Ability to code standards-compliant HTML/CSS - Ability to chop up Photoshop comps and some basic flash skills are good to have, too (but not necessary) - Bonus points if you can help them set up a not-too-complicated LAN in their mac-based office
This is a great opportunity to not only develop a robust site with a lot of custom functionality in Ruby on Rails, but to feel really good about the work you're doing as well. As their current developer, I can tell you that they're very nice people and easy to work with. And although I'm having to step aside for personal reasons, I'm helping them find a new developer and will be available during the transition to help get you up to speed.
So - if you are interested, send a resume and some URLs of sites that you've built to Amber Rossino. Her address is amber@quixotefoundation.org.
Finally, though they are a non-profit, salary is competitive and based on experience.
Thanks for you time.
