Subscribe to Promotions & special offers Spring is just around the corner what kind of shape is your house in around Lancaster, Logan, Circleville, Carroll, Columbus, or Central Ohio?

Now is the time to spend some time outside and do a visual observation of your homes exterior surfaces and components. Things that one should be looking for would be proper attachment of gutters, downspouts, roofing surfaces where snow and ice may have been laying. Look at large tree limbs that may be hanging over your house. The added weight of the ice may have lowered the limbs and compromised their strength. There are many other things to look at but the biggest issue is moisture. Look at where it lay ed the longest, look at areas that were vulnerable i.e behind gutters, around chimneys, valley flashing that is located towards the bottom of your roof, around your foundation, look in crawlspaces and basements. Everything is now melting and water will be draining in and around your foundation walls. Ensure you do a test of the sump pump if you have one. Last thing you need is for water to make its way into your basement. If you have any questions about home maintenance or inspection issues please feel free to contact us.
