Subscribe to The Biznik Community I need office space!

Due to an unforeseen event, I need to move my office by August 1st. I'm a one-woman show and only need space for my desk, a bookcase, and file cabinet. Does anyone know of space for lease (or sublease) in the Seattle area - 1-2 days a week - for under $400? I need LIGHT, so windowless, dark offices are not an option. Ideally, I'd like to be anywhere in the Greenwood-Ravenna-UD-Fremont-Phinney areas, but I am open at this point.

Muchos gracias!

hi aimee- if you can find yourself a temporary space or short term, Office Nomads is hopefully going to be ready for occupants in the next few months.

The rate for 1-2 days a week will be $100. so def. under $400!

And, there will be so much more to this space than just office usage...resource library, meeting rooms, a small exercise area - good for stretching out and idea pondering, kitchen...and hopefully will double as an art gallery for artwalk evenings!

go to www.officenomads.com for more info and to chime in on discussions, etc.

also visit my thread in the Q&A section on biztalk where I am asking what is important for people in terms of the feel of their office spaces. i am taking notes that i can implement when it comes to doing the decor for the space!

good luck to you! hope to see you at nomads!

Hi Aimee - are you looking for a private office or would shared space work? A colleague of mine is in a large loft-type space that is shared between several people and they are looking for someone to join them. I believe the rent is $250.00 and includes a fantastic view of Portage Bay. Let me know if you want the contact info.

    Rachael,

I need a private office, as the work I am doing is pretty personal. It's important that the client feel private and safe in order to be forthcoming with information. Thank you for your response, though!

    Amy --

I'm totally fascinated. I have some reservations, but it looks interesting. Tell me about this "exercise space". Is it just an empty room? Will it have some equipment? And the kitchen -- would it be possible to have cooking classes in it? If I could have a space that had room for talks, exercise demos, and cooking classes, I would pay more than $400....AND I would be in total heaven.

    Hi-

Another option if you need private space is ActivSpace. I am not sure if you are familiar with their buildings but it is pretty cool - lots of offices at low prices. I am in the building near the Zoo and really like it. I am on the non-Aurora side of the building and have a pretty tree, lots of shade and primarily all service professionals on my side of the building (no loud scary noises from machines). My office is pretty small - 11' x 10' but it is only $225/mo and that is a pretty good deal in this 'hood. They have larger and smaller spaces available as well. If you decide to look at the building and want to see a space actually in use feel free to stop by - I am in the directory there.

    Aimee,

Hannah Albert just posted a thread about wanting to share her office space in downtown. A super nice building!
