Biznik member Ruth Hartmann's husband, Stan, is a realtor in Wenatchee. I know him as a friend but not in his capacity as a realtor. He is a great guy who has a rep for hard, honest work. If you can't contact her through Biznik, contact me directly for her email at insarta@comcast.net

Dennis - It sounds like you found your realtor, but in case someone else is looking for one in the Wenatchee area, I wholly recommend Stephen Bishop. He has over 20 years experience and has worked with our family several times. Caring guy who knows his stuff.

Turns out that I had to go through a couple Realtors before finding one that was a match. Once I did it was only a matter of weeks and she had an offer for us, now soon to go to closing if the buyer's financing comes through. So all it well.

It was an interesting experience in how people think they should treat each other: all presumably referral-based like professionals who "network". One didn't listen and tried to manage us; the other repeatedly said that she would call at certain times, then didn't.

The gal we work with now is responsive, knows the job, was able to recommend a contractor, answered the phone, did what she said she would do, and knows more about the issues than I do (I don't have to do her job). When she was unable to answer the phone or get right back to me, she got back to me soon, and she apologized.

Basic stuff really. It's the same in my world: patients get an exam and then report that no one ever asked as much, or did as much, or took as much time. And I am as short and concise as I know how to be. Nowadays basic competence is so rare that when we encounter it we have to really appreciate it:-)

The Realtor we are using is Laura Mounter, BTW.
