Subscribe to The Biznik Community So anyone know where Howard Howell went?

When i left here, seems Howard was a pretty prominent contributor around this Biznik community. What happened to him? He didn't pass away did he? Seemed a little grey, but very full of life. Can't imagine that he would have left any other way.. He had so many friends here. Anyone know if he's ok?

LOL... I hope he didn't crook! I was wondering the same thing yesterday. I always saw him, you, and a handful of other "original Bizniks" as the faces of the Biznik community.

now, now Mr. Rozmaity... The First Amendment may protect speech but we have a moral duty to ensure that you don't make a fool out of yourself. To that end, we are instituting a 1$ tax to fund a program to ensure aspiring IT technicians learn to spell. ;) We promise at least 50% of the funds will make to the classroom.

Now as for you, its too late.. Misspell any more words and we shall have no choice! A task force will be assigned to follow your blog and make sure you are representing the party line with panache.

well thats awesome! but very surprised to hear he moved.. anyone know why? seems like he was really integrated to the community here. can't imagine him just picking up and leaving.. i mean a period of inactivity like mine is one thing, but what could possess a guy to just "poof!" disappear in a community he's been a part of for so long.. guess i will ask him on FB.. but if anyone knows anything feel free to shed any light you can on it in the meantime..

Howard is alive and well and can be found at That Sales Guy. He is still wearing his over sized name tag and now he is teaching folks to build their castle in their own sandbox first...and now his name tag lanyard is made of gold rather then Green, black, and white...Follow him on Facebook and join in on his blog. He is a great guy who has learned a powerful lesson from the entire Biznik experience. A community is only as strong as its members...and as week as its TOS. Be aware of what you can lose if you are a customer...and as a provider of customer service be sure you treat your customers royally. Lessons learned all around! Howard, as a former of cheerleader of Biznik, your smiling face and enthusiasm will be missed on the site...but for those of us who follow you on Facebook, Twitter, and on his own site...INCOMING!

Thanks guys for reassuring me that he is alive and well somewhere. Such a nice guy. Here's to his success! (raises dirty chai in a toast).. still the question that i recently posed remains unanswered. why or how did he leave.

Shannon, you allude to "A community is only as strong as its members...and as week as its TOS" which btw you must now pay the infamous One Dollar fine for misspelling or rather misusing the word "week" instead of "weak".. but mayb what do you say guys... should we let her off the hook?

Point is you seem to suggest with that "TOS" reference that he did not go willing.. Now why on earth would Biznik ban a member (if thats what happened?) that was such an obvious contributor to this community at large?"

I pose this question... shaking my fist at the sky! Why Howard? What did he do to deserve such a final outcome?

Will i be deleted for asking? I wonder how many paying members Biznik owes to his presence? Just doesn't seem to be a very fitting thank you.

He has no clue as to the exact how or why but he got 'flagged' and now he is gone...and no, 'week' was on purpose. The TOS is refined, defined, enforced, or ignored on a weekly revolving basis. It amazes me how often I get 'spammed' by Biznik members who are currently alive and well. MLM members are not permitted and yet there are many non-MLM members on Biznik who choose to behave boorishly obnoxious and self-promotional. Then there are those who make HUGE positive contributions and they get banned. It appears at times to be a whim whether one remains in Biznik's good graces. I know that there are many who don't like to be 'sold' too but when you go to an event with someone branded as "That Sales Guy" what in the world would one expect??? Isn't that kind of like going to a Tent Revival and not expecting to sing along to a few hymns? But that is okay, it just gives me new content for a blog post elsewhere about what happens when you put all your efforts on someone else's site!

I stand corrected. I do wish to thank you Shannon for your insight. So wait.. Your saying he got banned for ummmm... trying to sell his authentic, self produced sales training? Wait... I thought Biznik is an Authentic Business Network... Now wouldn't the word Business suggest that everyone here is trying to either sell something or learn how?

It just doesn't add up.. surely there must be more to the story.. So just wondering.. whats the official story??

Justin, you owe a dollar for your "Your saying" typo...so now we are even! You meant "you are saying" I presume?!

Well, I might get slapped for bringing up this flaw in the Biznik system (not your typing or mine but the TOS enforcement inconsistencies). Maybe they will kiss and tell or maybe they will ask Howard back. But, heck, he may not want to come back after such an un-ceremonious dumping by his Biznik community leadership!

Thanks for bringing this topic up...it caused a really interesting 'trend' for a short time!

anyone noticing? in the official section, the tumbleweeds are just blowing around! expected to hear a response from the Biznik corporate PR machine by now.. surely they have a good reason for their decision to terminate Howard..

I was coming here to ask the same question. Where's Howard?

It is hard to spend time on some one else's site only to be turned around. It does happen to me.

The internet, and social networking, is a weird little world, it's a very small community.

Howard, however, was a big supporter of Biznik. It seems like a large hole has been left without him.

I am shocked as well that Howard Howell is no longer welcome on Biznik. I never found his behavior to be inappropriate. I learned a lot from him. I guess there is no due process on Biznik.

I just accepted his request to friend him on Facebook. You can add him as a friend (and send a message to Biznik) by going to http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=1215827882

I can't comment on the particulars of a person's membership, I can speak in general terms.

According to the Terms of Service that all members agree to when they register we have the right to terminate a membership without cause. However, as a practice, we don't do this. When a member receives numerous flags and complaints from other members, and over time makes a negative impact on the community, we acknowledge the pattern. We provide feedback and opportunities for the member to make choices in alignment with our Terms of Service. Again, I am speaking generally. I will not comment on a specific member's situation.

The Terms of Service exist to create a positive, safe, comfortable and thriving community. It is my responsibility to protect and look out for the community and the business that is Biznik. We are fortunate that we have had few occasions over the last 5 years that have resulted in a member's termination.

I feel it is inappropriate for a public conversation to continue about someone who is unable to respond. I have locked this discussion to further comment.
