Subscribe to The Other 5% SMS group created for this

My friend Jordan Schwartz has been working on a beta of a SMS group (similar to the one we used at BizJam in early June) that I think would be almost perfect for this use (perfect would be if it would interface with this website). It's really simple: You're at a coffee shop, and instead of missing people because they don't check this forum, you just send an SMS text message with your location to a central number, which sends a copy of your message to everyone else who has subscribed to the group. I've created a group called biznik. To join the group, send me a your cell phone number, and I'll SMS you an invite.

    OK, I've got this all set to go now, and here's how it works:

    Send an SMS text message to 206 694 9197, with:

    .JOIN biznik [As you'd expect, this joins you to this group] .REMOVE biznik [Removes you from the group]

    Then, when you want to let other members of the group know where you're at, just send:

    biznik: your message here.

    For example: "biznik: I'm working at Onliine Coffee on 14th and Pine until 4:30pm today. I'd like some company!"
