Subscribe to Want to trade with me? Wanted: Roofer

We are putting a new roof on the old homestead this summer (there goes the trip to Italy). If you know of any fabulous roofers can you please have them contact me. They must be experienced roofers, not contractors that have done a roof or two because this one is a doozy.

Many thanks for helping me get rid of the catch basins in the kitchen when the rains come.

    Hi Elizabeth,

You will probably get tons of names, but we got a very reasonable quote for a quality (metal!) roof from Bill Hogue of Olympic Roofing (olympic roofingandremodel@msn.com). We haven't actually had the roof installed yet, but were very impressed with his knowledge and the time he took to assess our situation.

We are not at the "catch basin" stage yet (my handyman brother tells me to avoid that at all costs!), but have a couple of "soft spots" and will be having Bill come out soon to give our roof a "new face."

Best of luck in your search for a contractor!

    Judy:

Thanks for the referral. Part of our roof is copper so a metal smithy would probably be of use. I will pass the nake on to my hubby.

THANKS FOR THE ANSWER TO THE CALL FOR HELP.

I will recommend Allied Construction. The owner Harold Fodge is as knowledgeable and honest a roofer as you will ever meet and his whole family is in the business. http://www.alliedconstructiononline.com/

Only thing is they are usually booked far in advance (that's a good sign).

Brian: I took a look at their web site and passed it along to HE WHO WILL MAKE THE CALL.

Many thanks for your referral. I appreciate it.

Great meeting you yesterday, Elizabeth. It's good to meet others who've made it out of purgatory - St. Louis.

    Love your sense of humor.

Regarding Roofing, sounds like you have plenty of names but Darrell Bednark is a great/honest/hardworking guy, been roofing for years as part of the family business - Marmot Roofing. 206-527-9226

Few things would take me back to St. Louis...Ted Drews and if they ever opened Naugles again. Nothing better at 2:00 a.m.

Thanks for the name of the roofer. I will pass it along to another St. Louis escapee.

This forum is unmoderated, but please keep discussion courteous and not too far off topic.
