Subscribe to Want to trade with me? WANTED: Website design services/hosting

I need a couple of websites designed and/or hosted. In return I offer my services as a business coach and innovator. My requirements are fairly simple (compared to some of the sites I see). I need to be able to access the sites directly to handle updates and offer downloadable products as well as workshop registrations, but other than that, pretty static.

If not design, I need hosting. I have 3 domains I want to transfer from my current host and need a host.

Perhaps we can work something out to benefit both of us!

Contact me at info@deborahbeatty.com or leave a message here.

Thanks

Hi DeBorah, Don't know if you are still looking for a website designer, if so, I would recommend Erin Pierce. She is the Lead Web Developer/Designer for Rain Works in Bothell, Washington. I know she has helped many fellow Bizniks. She is very knowledgeable, easy to talk with and will get the job done to your satisfaction. You can find her by just clicking on the "Members" tab and typing in her name. Good luck...I hope this is helpful. Marlene

Something else that may help you in your business is Joint Contact. It's an online information management tool that could be useful for managing your documents, contacts and other items. Registration is also free.

My group runs Joint Contact so if you have any questions or would like additional information just let me know.

I just want to point out that although I got a lot of referrals, no one asked for details or seemed interested in bartering. I am at the point where I am poised to make a leap to the next level, but have little capital to fund it. I have plenty of time and information, though and am more than willing to put up my hours against yours.

If this sounds like something you'd be interested in yourself, please reply. Thanks

    DeBorah,

Here are a few pointers for you on your search:

    1. A website is a crucial element to your business and will be your electronic "footprint" on the world... You must view it as an investment and keep in mind that not only does it provide information to prospective clients, but it is out there representing you and your business and therefore should be of high quality.

    2. Take a few months and save up $1,000 - $2,000 to put aside exclusively for a website. That should get you a really wonderful and simple site that is well designed and well developed. No offense, but it would take many hours of your time and services to amount to the financial value of a website. I believe this is why no one has mentioned a trade... comparing apples to oranges; you would be better off saving up for it.

Hopefully my advice is helpful to you... I'd be happy to give you more if you're interested.

    Best,

    Erin

I agree with Erin whole-heartedly, especially due to the type of business you are in.

When offering a path to generating wealth and prosperity (your coaching ability), you really need to look the part by appearing successful yourself.

A cohesive branding package would be advisable along with the website that embodies all that you wish to convey to your prospective clientèle.

Definitely save up. Investments of this nature will be so worth it! =)

This forum is unmoderated, but please keep discussion courteous and not too far off topic.
