Subscribe to Website discussion and bug reports any way to correct our google map on the profile

For some reason my Google map on my profile is off. For some reason when I put the same address in the full size Google page it works fine.

I know this is probably outside the scope of biznik, but if anyone knows how to correct it that would be great.

Thanks,

Bret Percival Percival Photography

Hi Bret, We'll take a closer look at this and see if there's something we can do to fix. On first glance, though, it looks like Google's API is returning a different result than their own site, which we have no control over.

Thanks Dan. I figured it was out of your control. I'll try and e-mail Google.

On further investigation, the problem is that you entered a nonexistent address: there is no 225th way in maple valley. There is 225th st and 225th ave...

The address I listed is actually correct, but being out here in the boonies there's about 10 different possible ways to have a 225th.

The funny thing is when you type in

23745 225th Way SE, Suite 205, Maple Valley, WA into Google, the correct map comes up.

I'm guessing that part of the problem is that the dates of the map and satellite information is older than the completion date of my office building.

The map on my profile points to 225th Street which is in some housing development.

I think for now it would be better for me to have the incorrect map and the correct address on my profile for mail and if anyone wants to map it. I put a note on my profile that the map is not correct.

I'll email Google now and see what they say.
