Elke,
When I recently added the ability to permit group moderators to send messages to group members, I noticed that the sender was erroneously receiving a copy of the mail. That bug was corrected. You should see a copy of the message in your outbox, not your inbox, from now on.
It is likely that the message you are sending is taking longer than our configured timeout to process and you are not getting the 'message sent' message you should be seeing on the group page. I'll look into that.

you know, Andrew...I liked getting my own messages. it was an indicator of "receipt". So I did not think that was a "bug".
Thanks.

Our member search functionality is now 'New and VERY Improved.' Premium Members enjoy enhanced visibility in the general search results based on their membership and community activity levels. The accuracy of the searches is also greatly improved returning much more relevant results. We hope you enjoy!

Why is it that my older promotions keep getting featured?
I want my NEWEST promotions to be the ones that show up in the Members pages, but it seems to be on some kind of random cycle on all my promotions.
AND I purposefully deleted one of them (about the Book Release Party) so it wouldn't show up, but it still does appear. Just if you click on it, it goes to a Not Found type page. For example, see here

Rachel,
You are seeing some caching going on. To avoid overloading the server, we cache the promotions for a period of time. Though you've deleted the promotion, it can take a bit of time for the cache to clear and your newer promotion to be put into the rotation.
We do randomly select from the available promotions for any given page. The random selection looks back over the prior 30 days worth of promotions and builds a list in priority order (ProVIP, Pro and Basic member promotions within a given radius of the user). To ensure only your latest promotion is visible, you should remove prior promotions created within the last 30 days from the system.

FYI: The caching of the promotion on the category page should last approximately 30 minutes. You'll need to wait at least that long until the page is refreshed and a new promotion is picked from the pool.

All,
We are currently dealing with a problem related to Internet Explorer. When a Biznik Pro or ProVIP level member views the profile of a basic member, the formatting is wonky (a technical term). Basic members viewing other profiles are not affected, nor are Pro profiles viewed by Pro members. I apologize for the odd display and will correct this as soon as I can figure out why the boys in Redmond render pages differenetly then everyone else on the planet.
We hope you are enjoying the new Memebrship Levels!

Andrew--
Nope. I deleted that old promotion many days ago, and it's still showing up.

Where are you seeing it? I need a specific page to see if there is a bug in the system.

Is there some reason that the space above the featured article on the Welcome page is always blank on my Mac? I'm using the most up-to-date Firefox.

John,
You likely have some form of ad blocking turned on. We are using a background image on the div in that section of the page. Some ad blocking software treats the technique as a form of advertising and immediately blocks the image from loading. You can either disable the ad blocking on Biznik (as we do not display 3rd party advertisements) or fine tune the settings of your ad blocking software as the particular div involved is not a typical ad size.

I'm getting stack overflow messages when I navigate around Biznik. This has happened while using different computers.

Richard,
Can you tell me which operating system and browser you are using? Can you tell me which pages are generating the stack overflow - all of them?
Thanks,

Andrew,
Regarding the stack overflow issue. I'm using XP Professional and IE8. I just got the message again when clicking on my article "The Diminution of Risk or How We Learned to Stop Worrying and Love Debt" from my profile page.

Andrew, I was just on my profile page and clicked refresh and got an out of memory at line ... message,. I clicked ok and everything was fine. I then clicked Biz Talk and got the stack overflow message. Again, I clicked ok and everything was fine.

Richard,
I'm still trying to track down the culprit here - debugging in IE is a pain in the kiester. Can you confirm that the stack overflow error only appears when leaving a member profile page when that member is displaying their Tweet Feed?
Thanks,

Ok Richard,
Give it a shot now.
IE 8 was having problems with a JavaScript function that works everywhere else (and should still work properly in Microsoft's latest and greatest) - go figure...
