    Dan,

I went to Rachel Whalley's event listing for her Know thyself;know thy client event on 02/05 and found the edit and delete buttons are on her last post. I tested the edit button and was able to get to the editable text. When I backed out, the text (which I hadn't tried to change) was OK and there was a message telling me I couldn't do that. We are networked and I have signed up for her event, but no one should be able to edit or delete her text but her.

I am trying to stop following a topic but cannot. When I click on stop following topic in the thread I dare you 2 the little pop up with the stop button and the cancel button opens. I hit the stop following button and I get the little moving circle that tells me it is working for a second and then it goes away, but the small popup remains indefinitely and I still get emails when someone posts in it.

I am on WinXP and using Firefox 2.0.0.11.

    Thanks! c

Dan... I just experienced the exact same situation as John did on the "edit" "delete" button appearing on someone else's posting to one of my events. ...Howard

Something just went "haywire" on the profile page under Meet At:

It shows all events in history rather than just the upcoming events.

I concur with Howard . . . my profile events page is all mucked up. It shows past events as up-&-coming and it wants me to take attendance for events that haven't happened yet on the "past events" page. Very sureal :o)

Not to be all "me too" about it, but in case this isn't happening to everyone, I want to let John and Dan know that my profile is also affected with this timeline disorder. :)

There are duplicate profiles on the /members page. Dan you are 8th, 9th, 10th, & 11th place. Joe is 5th & 6th... etc.

I tested on IE & Firefox.

I understand, John. I've done the casual coding work myself...and I had nothing like an audience of 7000! In case you don't hear it enough, you're doing a freakin' amazing job with this beautiful beast.

Badges -- please perhaps a link direct from "About" and maybe from "Members" to the explanation of the badges. Right now the only route I can find is to click on a member with a badge and then click on the badge ...

    Dan,

The RSS feed pulling my blog posts into my biznik profile seems to be faulty. There are a whole bunch of new posts that are not showing up.

There is a problem with the width section of this comment column.

When edititing it, the horizontal bar pops up and it is difficult to scroll up and down in a long post one is editing. It shouldn't.

You can fix it by reducing the far left or right hand column width by 5% or 100 pixels. I'm using IE7, XP-SP2.

Ugh. Tried to post a tip, it edited out half of my content, then tried putting it in as an article and it won't post it because it says my almost 700 words is less than 500?!! Then it won't delete the botched tip...I am about to give up.

I think in the formatting help portion of post your comment you should tell people how to create HTML as the instructions are not clear. To create a hot link to a web site, use:

< A HREF=”insert web address including http between quotes” target=”new”>insert the text of what you want displayed as a hot link< / A >

Include the quotes and the < and the > symbols. Delete the first space after the first < and the last space before > and before the /.

When I mail out invitations, my respondents are being invited as Hi John Doe instead of Hi John. I was importing address lists from Hotmail, Google, and Yahoo.

Actually, you could also clarify how to make a hot link by saying:

[Insert text you want displayed to direct people to your web site] This is placed between the left bracket and the right bracket.

Put http address under it between open and close parentheses marks ( and )

I have a similar problem as Eva a few posts up... I've entered in my blog URL (and tried several different ways) but still it is only displaying the URL and not the blog postings.

Here are the ones I have tried:

    www.rainnetworks.com/blog http://www.rainnetworks.com/blog http://www.rainnetworks.com/blog/feed/ http://blog.rainnetworks.com

Here is the proper HTML code begining with the less than symbol "<" and ending with the second greater than symbol ">" to insert a hot link to a web site in your posts:

<A HREF="insert http link here between the quotes" target="new">insert the text you want to display between the greater than and less than symbols</A>

I think it is easier than trying to follow the commands suggested in the formatting help button below. It even confused me and wrote my own pages in raw HTML in NotePad.

Not exactly bugs, but two minor things worth mentioning:

Under "Who's viewing your profile", since I'm not a paying member it says:

"2 logged in members and 4 non-logged in members viewed your profile in the last week. Upgrade now to find our who!" ---> I think you mean "find OUT who".

And Under "Your recent activity" on my profile, it says:

"You updated the needs section of their profile 3 hours ago" --> I think that should say "of YOUR profile".

For the last couple of weeks, when I attempt to click on a member's profile or look at the details on an event, my computer hangs indefinitely or the browser completely shuts down. I am suspecting that this may be a problem on my end, but I haven't changed anything on my set up. I am using Safari and am MAC based. Is there anything you know about that could be causing this problem? Thank you.

  • Dan McComb

Dinah, what version of Safari are you using? We support only Safari 2.0 and later...

Ah, I see. Thanks for the information. There is a domino effect of upgrades that I would need to do to make that happen which I am not prepared to do right now. Maybe I can figure out some sort of work around.

This forum is unmoderated, but please keep discussion courteous and not too far off topic.
