Would be great to have email functionality closer to Outlooks: sorting by fields and mass deletions.

No, I still can't post a promotion, Dan. When I click on the button, it thinks for 2 seconds and then does nothing.

Might it be good if tips we write appear on our profile pages?
At a minimum, it would be nice to see the tips listed alongside the other things we've written. For example, if someone is reading my article, I'd like them to know that I've also written tips. And vice versa.
Thanks.

I totally second Joe's proposal, and have wanted some more support for Tips for a while.

I think you should take out the second parenthesis for the formatting help or put in an 'or' & give two options. It's confusing as it sits.

As far as I can tell, the most expeditious way to get to page 16 from the Members page is:
- Hit the number 7
- then hit "next" eight times.
Gotta be a better way, and that would give members deeper in the list better visibility.
(Never been to page 90. Wonder what it looks like.)

Shoot! I'm trying to post an event, but it seems the Venue Search function is broken. I type in letters and it doesn't do anything, so I can't finish the event posting...I just keep getting the error message that I need to choose a venue.
Addendum: I just re-added my venue because that was the only way to submit the event. Sorry to duplicate records.

It's probably something specific about the venue, Rachel. What's the venue's name?

Jeff, The second block in parenthesis shouldn't be there, definitely. We'll get that fixed.

Baas Art Gallery. But I don't think so. I tried typing in any letters and just..nothing happened. Usually the Search starts offering suggestions, but what I'm saying is that nothing dynamic happened at all, no matter why I typed in.

I just typed it in, and it's working fine for me in Safari and FireFox on Mac. What browser/platform are you using? Did this problem just popup (was it working previously?) Anyone else having issues with venue search?

I am using IE v6 on a PC. I've been using the same browser all along and have posted at least five events without ever having this problem.
I just tried to recreate the problem, and it is still happening.

It may be good to expand the definition of "comments" for people's profiles. I imagine BizTalk comments was a variable before the Learn section was born. Now, there are plenty of opportunities to make comments.
Just a (small) thought.

I had the same problem as Rachel when trying to type in a location name for an event using internet explorer. I've used explorer before with this same venue and didn't have problems. I switched to mozilla firefox this time and was able to get the locations to pop up as I started typing. Must just be an issue with explorer.

"Can unpublish my profile temporarily? " in http://biznik.com/help is missing an "I".

We'll investigate the issue with venues in Explorer. Thanks for the bug reports.
Joe, are you suggesting a feature where we can comment on anyone's profile, like at the bottom? Is that an idea of interest to anyone else? Presumably we'd make it so that the person whose profile it appeared on could delete them if they didn't like them...

In retrospect, this is probably a small idea that would affect few.
I noticed that among the "activity stats" is how many Biztalk comments someone made -- which is not the only kind of comment someone can make on your platform now. Many people are making comments on tips and articles too, so the definition of "comments made" may be narrow in light of your upgrades.
P.S. I think we can already make comments on anyone's profile, by sending them a compliment.

This may also be a small idea: It may be helpful if there were a member search that was not constrained by geography.
I had an unusual situation where my outside-of-Biznik email indicated that a member sent me a message. When I checked, I couldn't find it.
Had I not stumbled across his name in the new member section, I would have never found him because he wrote me from Malaysia.

I find that when I click on a photo on a profile, the photo often gets "stuck" and does not enlarge.

Would be great to have the flexibility to save important messages in dedicated email folder.

Thanks for the reports, Joe. We've got big improvements planned for messages. And you're right - the photo thing is very buggy. We may end up scrapping it altogether if we can't get it to work better.
Re: member search, that's another area we have big plans to make improvements. Meanwhile, did you know you can already search outside of your geographic area? Just uncheck the "search within xx miles" box below the search on the /members page, when searching, and you'll expand the results to everyone on biznik.

What is the URL you are on when you see this error, Rebecca?
