Is there an easy way to let another Biznik know about an event I think they'd be interested in? Now I'm just sending them a notice outside Biznik but that just doesn't seem right. What am I missing?

sure! On the left side of the event you are interested in, under the host's picture, there are some options for you. E-mailing the event to someone is one of the options as well as sending a message to the host, messaging all of the attendees, etc.

    Check it out :)

Hi Amanda - Yep I'm using the "email to a friend" option but...it only seems to allow me to email someone outside of Biznik - perhaps I'm missing something obvious. Also...I believe you can only message the whole group if you're the host.

I'd like to expand on this request of Ann's.

I've been emailing everyone in my network individually to let them know of an event. Is there a button that we could hit to notify our network in one go?

    Thanks!

Thanks for sharing your frustration with the lack of event-promotion options on Biznik. We hear you loud and clear, and this is a request we've been hearing a from quite a few other members too. So we've decided to add more ways to easily promote your event to the event tool.

Specifically, you'll soon be able to notify everyone in your network about your event with a single click (conversely, you'll be able to opt out from receiving such notifications, if receiving such announcements starts to feel like spam to you).

We're also planning ways to easily spread the word about your event to other sites like upcoming.yahoo.com.

Thanks for update Dan - now that I see it written down I think I remember you talking about this issue at the Network the Biznik Way event. So I get that soon we'll be able to promote our own events more efficiently which is great but...all I want to do now is tell someone I know on Biznik that an event is happening that they might be interested in...not necessarily one I'm hosting. Will I be able to do that?

Yes. It'll work like this: you'll have a box that you begin typing into, and a list of matching members will pop down, and you can select the member you want off the list. If none of them match, you'll be able to enter the email address of the person, hit done, and you're done.
