Dancing at NIA on Capitol Hill at 1pm on Sunday
I'd love to see some Bizniks there. NIA is now my main workout, and it doesn't at all feel like work. It's an eclectic mix of dance, yoga, and martial arts, all put together to facilitate you doing what feels most natural in your body. And to get muscle tone and some cardio in there.
It's damn fun and I hope some of you Cap Hillers decide to join me.
1pm at Dance Underground (near the new restaurant Smith on 15th).

Ok, now I'm doing the Friday night NIA class. It's in an hour (at 7pm)! See you there?
(Attire is usually yoga pants and tshirts, no shoes.)

Posted by Marianna Paulson, Surrey, British Columbia Canada | Aug 25, 2008Hi Rachel: I love, love, love Nia. All the classes are in Vancouver, so it's a trek to get there from Surrey. I've been trying to get a class going this side of the Fraser River - with no success. :(
I love that it is so respectful of ability and the fact that there is a focus for each class. The music is cool, too!

BTW, have you ever thought about becoming a teacher? I know some great teachers who started out simply because there was no Nia program near them.
