Thanks for creating this group! Is there an Atlanta "chapter"? I hope so since that's where I live and work.

I'm a creative director, most recently in advertising and digital. But I'm really a "big idea" person and am expanding my reach into all areas. Most recently, I worked with a PR firm to land an account by supplying the "big idea". The client said it was what got us into the final 3 (from 20 companies pitching the account).

If you need someone who can use events, TV shows, social media, advertising, digital, and guerilla to boost your business, give me a call (404) 529-7900. That's precisely what I do.

    Cheers, Jannie

    Hi, Power Chicks!

I'm thrilled this conversation is still going months after I started it. It's wonderful to see new faces and meet new people.

A number of you who joined recently are far from our Seattle "base station." If there is enough interest in a particular city, I'd consider coming to your area to host an event. This is especially true on the West coast and in Vancouver, B.C. If you're interested, feel free to email (lynn@marketingshebang.com).

    Welcome to you all!

Hey Gals, I am the new partner of an Employee Benefits Firm. Even though, I have been doing this for almost half my life, my dream of having my own business has finally come true. I work with company owners/HR Managers to find the best insurance coverage for their employees at a competitive price.

I could use all the help I can get from ladies, here in the south (TN), it is still the good ole boy syndrome, so I have business everywhere. Would love to share reciprocal business opportunities if possible. Thanks!

    Hello Power Chicks,

I am new to Biznik and new to Power Chicks. My name is Kristi Lyn Reddy and I live in North Seattle. Who am I? I am a woman who is determined not to be a victim of circumstance, environment, opportunity or lack there of, my past or present, but to reach towards my goals and move forward one step at a time. I am an ever evolving product of the life I have lived and the choices I make. Fortunately every day provides new opportunities to make new choices. Having been abused as a child and the wife of an abusive husband for over 10 years I understand that life is not easy. It is my passion to help other woman find their strength, their self worth, and to discover the Power of being a woman.

My career is real estate. I am a Realtor in the Seattle area. I choose to work in South Snohomish County and North King County. I am currently pursuing my Broker's License with a plan to help others learn to provide truly excellent service. A standard I think we can raise the bar on. Currently I mentor agents in my North Seattle office, help my clients who are purchasing or selling residential real estate, manage rental property and teach workshops on an array of topics related to real estate.

I have a wonderful husband of 3 years who is my partner in life and my personal cheer leader. I have the joyous responsibility of being a parent to an almost 18 year old daughter and a 17 month old son. My life is blessed and I am grateful.

    Hello to everyone!

I'm excited about this group! I'm Janis Flagg and my business is called Greatest of Days. I do event planning and design and wedding officiating. I love to help people with personal celebrations such as weddings, anniversaries, reunions, birthdays, and even memorials. I like to use creativity to personalize events and in ways that will save a client money.

I also like to help my local community. That can be a business with a grand opening or grand re-opening, client or employee appreciation event or a fundraiser for the local Chamber. It's my goal to help people celebrate and actually experience their own event rather than work throughout their event. This is especially true for weddings.

I look forward to learning more about everyone! Could there perhaps be a meeting further south at some point?

Thanks, Lynn and I like this concept.

I teach hatha yoga and deep emotional healing (soon to be applied in an event for business in Biznik) through self-therapy in the modality of Process Coaching. I also love to teach raw food transition. Singing is my hobby. I currently train with fellow Biznik member and voice maven, Awilda Verdejo.

I am interested in connecting with fellow body workers as well as others interested in various aspects of natural healing, emotional, physical and mental. If you are an allopathic physician or therapist and would like to bridge something like east/west modalities I would especially like to talk to you! Why not combine the best of both worlds?

Now that kids are in school again, I look forward to more events to meet more of you!

Hi Everyone! My name is Karen. I am a freelance web developer/designer. I am undergoing a few projects, but my own personal project is a website called Where's My Lesbian. (http://www.wheresmylesbian.com) This site is aimed at proving there is no one way to describe a lesbian - by bringing together a network of artists, musicians, bloggers, poets, storytellers and more. Members on the site are both gay and straight, and we use the site to showcase the talents of our members. When I'm not working on that one I am working on the social marketing efforts for a Real Estate Broker (http://www. treelv.com) and for a new site involving a new Las Vegas Leadership Academy - (http://www.lasvegasleadershipacademy.org). Both of these sites will be changing in content and one in design within the next 2 months. This is only my second year out of college trying to take on projects on my own so wish me luck. Good luck to all of you on your businesses as well!

Hello PC's Interesting enough "PC" ( Power Chick's initials) are the initials of a book I co-wrote with 3 women ( "Pink Clovers" Pink = Women- Clovers= the luck of finding each other to collaborate on our adventure). It was a journey. Every tue.s. night for a year, we wrote - 4 different women, different backgrounds, life experiences etc... Through specific topics and guidelines, writings, honesty, and sharing with one another, we developed an incredible friendship and story for all women. I'm looking forward to attending and meeting the Power Chicks! It is getting so popular I can't seem to RSVP in time! This is a testament to women! I'm now entertaining the idea of either a workbook or some avenue to work with women in developing their own "Pink Clovers Group". Coleen

I do blog coaching...working with business owners, entrepreneurs, and bloggers who want to consider at deeper and more integrated levels both the how of blogging, as well as the why.

I work to strengthen businesses, clarify personal branding, and enable personal change - all three of which are possible through blogging.

I love, love, love having great conversations with others - in person and virtually - and am thrilled to read about so many others who are doing the same!

Such a cool group and a great thread! I'm slow to respond to all things Biznik these days, but better late than never!

I'm Virginia, and I run an online dating consultation service called Lovebug (http://www.loveb.ug). My specialty is helping people put their best foot forward with a customized online ad or profile, and helping them select the right service and refine their techniques to find the right relationship.

Lately I'm so bogged down in planning my own wedding and attending a thousand more that I don't have nearly enough free time for my business OR my Biznik, but I'm hoping that will change as we transition into cold weather and people stop getting hitched. :)

    Great to meet you all!
