Subscribe to Digital Freelancers - Discussion Where do you work?

We all work from home sometimes, sometimes onsite with a client, but where else do you get things done? Alone, as a group? Coffee shop?

I work from my little office, you can see a picture here, my office is the little square red roof on the right. By the way my bedroom is the rounded red roof.

I use my garage as my office. I shoot at whatever location is required, but I do all my editing in my office. It's the one place in the house where I can lock the door and work.

I work in my home office that is surrounded by windows on three sides and has a fantastic view of the Cascades.

I work from home, sitting on my exercise balance ball in front of my Mac laptop.

I edit at my home office with an unobstructed view of Mt. Rainier, I shoot anywhere and I network everywhere.

But we're looking space for our new HQ. Somewhere in Downtown Seattle.

Hi everyone, after looking carefully for a group to join, I'm talking select each icon to see what you do, who you are and what your philosophy is ... I really like the result I found here! You are a heady group in a vertical elevator.

I work in an elegant office complex that allows flow through traffic for part of my day, I work at my home on the hill when I want to be undisturbed and I work in the public schools when I want to teach others. I love my job and I love the internet.

As our house undergoes renovations, I have found I work best in the living room, sitting on the couch, feet propped on the edge of the coffee table, Mac laptop on my lap. My spine may be forever in the shape of a "C" as a result, but it is quite comfortable for now.

Hello, digital freelancers! I figured that you would relate to my office: the dining room table, with Animal Planet on in the background, my Giant Schnauzer lounging at my feet and a view of Port Everglades from the 19th floor windows ... now THIS is the life!

I have a couple of clients I meet up with on a weekly and monthly basis but most of the time I work out of my home office. Its my favorite place to be :) All I need is my mac, music and the comfortable air. The only distraction: my dog Olive wanting to play all day!

I work from home. I've tried coffee shops, but find it too distracting.

I work in a little studio in my home. I would say that I look out on the trees all day, but I have to remind myself to look up from my monitor.

But I could look out on those trees all day if I really wanted to.

If I have an appointment in Portland I'll bring my laptop and WACOM tablet with me and set up in a coffee shop for the rest of the day. I lose a lot of time in travel, so I make myself productive while I'm away.

    The change is nice, too.
