Influences on the Enneagram Type: Zodiac Signs, Birth Order and More?

Terry Thomas posed an interesting question over in the Enneagram Type 7s group:

"I've wondered, how much do the other things impact the Enneagram -- Birth Sign, Birth Order, Meyers Briggs Profile, etc."

As if the enneagram needed to be any more complicated. :)

But I do see how birth signs can give a very subtle difference in flavor to someone's type. For instance, I'm a Sagittarius and I'm much more chatty and adventurous than a typical 8. I think, anyway.

I suspect my birth sign influenced my wing, which used to be 7, but I think is now much more 9. In fact, I was trying to live at 7 back in high school (before I knew the enneagram). Didn't work out so well.

What about you astrology experts and Meyers Briggs specialists out there? Thoughts on this?

So I'm a first born Taurus #7. After our last class on Enneagram, it has become clear to me how much I fit the 7 profile.
