Subscribe to Groups Group - Discussion Adding a new admin to my group

Hey There, I want to ad Richard Trimble as admin to my Singles group. How can I do that? Thanks, ~banu

    Hi Banu,

    A group can have only one Admin at a time - but you can add as many moderators as you wish. Moderators have virtually all the power of Admins - only they can't assign roles the way Admin can. But they can do everything else, such as moderating content, approving events and articles, etc.

    So what happens if/when an admin wants to relinquish their role? A group can't exist without an admin, right? So you'd have to replace yourself if you were leaving your post. My guess: we would email you to request a change of admin.

    You are precisely correct, Joe. You'll note on the member page of the group you administer a note indicating that you'll need to send us an email if power is changing hands. Other members see a 'Leave Group' button.
