Subscribe to Groups Group - Discussion Sticky or Locked?

I may be a little slow or just have not picked up on it yet, but could you explain what the terms "Sticky" and "Locked" mean when I start a discussion topic?

Sticky means it stays at the top of the list. Locked means that no one else can post in the thread.

Sticky you'd choose for something like an announcement that you want everyone to be sure and see.

Locked is for when you don't want comments for some reason - maybe as a way to moderate a discussion that is getting a little out of hand.
