Hello all, I've been looking forward to meeting you all in person (hopefully in November, at long last!); in the meantime this is a great opportunity to introduce myself. Thanks for the forum!

I am a transformative life coach, and am finding myself attracting a certain type of client over and over, so I am hereby claiming my niche. I want to work with women who are thoroughly committed to raising their children, and to actively honoring that which makes them thrive. We CAN do it all!

This should be a great forum for Power Chicks as we all have great news to share from time to time! Thanks for the opportunity to "brag!"

My big news was that I was voted "Best Lawyer" by the readers of 425 Magazine! I really thank my clients and colleagues for thinking of me and voting! To see the article and check out the other great "Best Of" winners: http://www.425magazine.com/article_read.php?articleid=137

I'm looking forward to future meetups where we can get to know one another better!

So, so great to actually be invited to self-promote! Love this!

I'm 5 days away from an official launch, but you can see "me" and get at least a sneak peak by going to http://www.ronnadetrick.com.

I'm focusing on blog coaching - working with individuals who need help, support, advocacy, and advice in the ways in which a blog can support and strengthen business development, personal branding, and even personal growth.

I've been blogging for 5 years and LOVE writing. Even more, I LOVE working with others on their own "voice" and powerful ways in which that can be spoken - and heard - through innovative web development and social media.

'Hope to meet many of you at a meetup. Other "Power Chicks": such good company!

    Hello all-

I've been somewhat out of touch, which is typical during wedding season. I do French pastry - and I do wedding cakes. I take great pride in creating one-up custom desserts, wedding cakes and both sweet and savory pastry using raw wholefood ingredients - sourced organic, locally and in season as much as possible. I work with gluten, dairy, corn, egg, and soy allergies. And I do some vegan work.

    I have three recent brags!

I have a wedding cake featured in the brand new fall issue of Grace Ormonde Wedding Style, an upscale national wedding magazine form the NE. You can view it on page 147 at http://www.eweddingstylemagazine.com/weddingstyle/Fall_2009/

And I have two cakes in features in the brand new Best of 2009 issue of Seattle Bride Magazine. Plus my peers gave me a top three rating under groom cakes. See them at: http://www.seattlebridemag.com/ME2/Sites/dirmod.asp?sid=&nm=&type=SlideShow&mod=Design%3A%3ASlide+Show+Titles&mid=C2C52131592148DFADC1450BF8A03C9A&tier=3&id=0D7A9DC5011B4B78B3EACA039604D69A&SiteID=AFE19DE26FCA4C15ACE549D79FA3E8D1

    http://www.seattlebridemag.com/ME2/Sites/dirmod.asp?sid=&nm=&type=SlideShow&mod=Design%3A%3ASlide+Show+Titles&mid=C2C52131592148DFADC1450BF8A03C9A&id=EBE56F32963145DA999C507B2990F9F3&SiteID=AFE19DE26FCA4C15ACE549D79FA3E8D1&tier=3&p=6

Lastly, I have been nominated once again for the Evening Magazine Best of 2009, under Wedding Cakes. I would be so delighted and honored if you would please vote for me! http://best.king5.com/tallant-house/biz/125936

My web site was redesigned in the spring, but I got into wedding season before I had a chance to build it. You can see the existing one at www.tallanthouse.com with the expectation that a new one will be up soon after weddig season winds down!

Hi all, my name is Laura and I run my very own graphic and web design company based in Newcastle upon Tyne (North East of England).

We're always on the look out for people to share our blogging and chit chat with especially around the networks, so I feel that this thread is a great way to start.

We are also on the look out for small to medium businesses who are in need of a website, or who already have a website but think they could do with a little update ... remember, every business needs a website as it's the most important line of communication you'll ever use - even out of office hours!! So, if you feel that we can help you in any way, please get in touch (we do not bite!!)

We also deal with the generic graphic design side of things i.e. logo design, brochure design, leaflet/flyer design.

And we have also just launched a brand new range of interior art which we get printed onto canvas, along with something new which we are starting for this xmas; santa letters for children, or others who believe in the good old santa claus. They are selling like hot cakes already; if you wish to oder one, or you wish to take a look at the interior art then feel free to pop over to www.lktdesign.co.uk to take a peek.

Feedback on both our website and work is always good to hear too, many thanks, Laura

I've recently become a part of campaigning and working for my partner's new creative networking site, Genie Eye. It's FREE! The site allows us all to be seen by industry creatives who hire each other. As a producer I have already made working connections and it's only been up since 9/14. This is great Lynn! Hello Everyone! I have enjoyed reading and viewing all the postings. My latest creative endeavor, not related to my skin care business....was to attend a 3-day quilting conference. Some who attended are quilt divas (artists) and some are conventional or traditional quilters. I learned to quilt! My shout out: making a quilt top for a soldier that has come back wounded and is hospitalized. I guess many quilt guilds around the country make these quilts for the wounded. My first quilt experience was one of these donations. Enjoyed being in a 3-day creative groove. I am a skagit valley esthetician located in the La Conner Wellness Center focused on natural skincare for very sensitive skin and inflammation.

We recently changed our name from A Little Romance Cakes to Seattle Cakery. We're excited about the change as we feel it better reflects who we are and who we serve. With that, we have a completely revamped web site www.seattlecakery.com (I can never figure out how to embed URLs in BizNik communiques.)

Additionally, we just went live on "The Knot" and "Wedding Channel" web sites. We're growing and looking forward to a bright future.

I am happy to announce the launch of my newest company (in addition to maintaining Rellihan Satterlee, since I enjoy straddling the creative and editorial worlds). The intent behind the new company is to seamlessly connect creative entities with one another, in a way that is direct and leaves very little question as to what need is attempting to be filled. The service stems mostly from my former years – another professional lifetime ago - of agenting a talent pool of photographers, illustrators and representation of architectural work for which guessing the needs of art directors, creative directors or editors was a crapshoot at best. This service allows both sides of the creative fences to have a brief conversation / exchange, and serves to alleviate the superfluous waste often associated with the constant barrage of promotional materials.

It's really simple. Ask, receive. Wish, and allow it to be granted.

It's FREE. Subscribe and wait anxiously for the Daily Wish List emails that will come to your inbox daily - from me - and full of brief yet fun info from the expansive world of the creative.

Who should use it? Anyone that creates or is in need of those with creative talent. We will even have job posting for the creative community. If you have a great product, we do have sponsorships of the daily emails, so email me for information on how to get in front a captive audience of creative folks who could use your product or service. Our sponsorship rates are compellingly low priced. But that's another subject. For now, check out the website.

    Here is all you do:

    Go to the site www.genieeye.com

Subscribe for free (you can unsubscribe anytime - though I'm certain you will not want to miss the information exchange).

If you have a creative request (e.g. you are an art director seeking an illustrator that specializes in Ecuadorian nature pencil sketches), make the request. If not, sit back and see what sorts of requests come in that might be specific to your talent. If you are a fashion designer in Aspen and a producer suddenly needs a local designer to work on-set in Telluride with a film crew for 3 days, well, you have the info and can respond!

Join today and see what it’s all about! Tell your friends to join also. Everyone at some point in her business career requires a creative entity; therefore, you deserve to subscribe to Genie Eye.

In gratitude and as you wish,

    Jenée www.genieeye.com

Last week the Eastside Business Journal featured an article announcing that I am nominated for 'Woman Business Owner of the Year'! The winner will be announced at the Wibbey Awards and the Queen of Hearts Gala, October 11. They also mentioned that Dynamic Designs owner Jeanette Betton will be unveiling her magnum opus for 2009, a couture custom necklace with 380 carats of colored gemstones! I am so excited and honored to be nominated. Being able to share this beautiful designed necklace is the icing on the cake! I have owned my company for 26 years and this is definitely two of the most exciting things to experience this year. There are still tickets available if you'd like to attend this fabulous evening, go to www.ewib.biz if you are interested.

Hello, my name is Roshele Allison and I started my company in July 2009. After 17 years in the Design/Build industry I felt it was time to start my own company.

The company is NW Home Designers, and we are a residential design company in Seattle Washington. We/I design everything from a powder room to a full house remodel and use a computer program to help our clients visualize their project BEFORE construction. By bringing my laptop and projector into their home, they become a part of the design process.

I love the idea of the Power Chicks promoting! It is great to see all of those fabulous companies out there.

May 2010 bring all of you copious amounts of wonderful business!
