Subscribe to Power Chicks - Discussion What inspires you in your business?

Just wondering what makes you get up in the morning and feel terrific about what you do.

For me, it's helping women succeed. I get all giddy and happy inside when I can write cool website copy or an e-newsletter or something that helps businesses really take off.

Guess my work combines two things I love, business and women. How cool is that?

What inspires you in your business?

It inspires me to share the depth of joy and peace we have within us. To bring that out of one who is unaware and to share it with those already in the know.

Sounds great, Lynn! And that is a lot like what inspires me, as well. What gets me rollin' outta bed is knowing I get to go spend my time with all these women who are eager to move and to learn and to laugh! I love building community and feeling like a facilitator to so many new friendships and joys in other women's lives. I may teach dance, but I am also a community booster of sorts, and that suits me just fine. :)

It's absolutely the moment of "Aha!".

You mean I don't have to buy in to the conventional role of stay-at-home-mom? You mean I don't have to work a corporate gig to make money? You mean I don't have to have the juicy sweatsuit, designer handbag, handsome husband to be joyful?

LOVE IT when a client/participant/audience member finds that moment of inner clarity. When she gets a glimpse of her very own version of success...

    That's why I do what I do.

    Thanks Lynn for the question!

I love knowing the work I do benefits others. I love the challenges people find for me, especially the bookkeeping challenges they think are impossible. I love knowing that I can have a positive impact in someone elses day!

It is knowing that I get to meet and help so many people. I have a service I know others may not know to much about and I enjoy making sense of style and how I come into play.

Every person is so unique, every event I create is different. It is knowing I don't have a 8 - 5 job doing everything the same.

I like the crazy schedules, collaborations, deadlines, and the PEOPLE.

After a day's work, it is rewarding hearing compliments from clients and knowing I made a difference.

    Hi Lynn,

For me it is watching finding ways to harness the power of the Internet to help my clients grow their businesses. My clients thus far have typically been start-ups, small businesses, and non-profits. It is exciting to help entrepreneurial and community minded people succeed--I love it! I see the Internet as the Great Equalizer for business. I remember a time when the ways to get word out about yourself was in person (networking), through expensive advertising (radio/print/tv), and direct mail--the last two of which were pretty cost prohibitive for a lot of little guys. Now, the sky is the limit and I believe that anyone who has something of value to offer has an opportunity to succeed on the Internet. That just thrills me!

As a personal trainer I really enjoy that I am helping people make changes in their lives that make them healthier, stronger (physically and emotionally), happier and more comfortable. By providing education, tools, and encouragement I can actually help someone improve their life now and in the future. It's rewarding on its own, not to mention some of the wonderful relationships I've been able to build with clients both in and out of the gym.

I love to help people truly enjoy their celebrations throughout their lifetime. The more celebrations the merrier! I like to keep them from experiencing pitfalls they don't know about, save them as much money as I charge them and help them through the emotional part of their celebrations. It can be summed up in what I tell some of our clients. "It's not the best seat in the house, if you're not in it!"

I love being a part of people's healing. I cannot tell you what joy it brings me to make a living helping humanity, not hurting it.

Helping brides-to-be live their fairytale! I love guiding them through the multitude of decisions to achieve the day they've always dreamed of and will always remember.

For me, it's knowing that I can change the life and thought of at least one person from negative to at least accepting. Even if I make the community a better place one person at a time, that's a BIG accomplishment for me. It's knowing that I can educate and lead with a quite voice, for a cause that is rarely taken seriously, even sometimes by my own community. It's also being able to know that despite my own personal passionate genre, that I can create some type of educational tool, site, game, tutorial or set someone up in the house of their dreams... it's helping people reach a reality that was influenced by a little ole' website. The power of creation and information.... Or perhaps, I'm looking too much into it?

Like a lot of the posts before me, inspiration to run my business comes from many sources, the money, helping a customer or making someones job easier.

The most inspiring is not being stuck doing the same thing everyday. Being the boss is exciting and I am inspired when I learn something new and can actually use it to be more successful. Leah Oviedo

What inspires me.. the tears of relief from suffering from my friends and clients that experience Process Coaching and see how it affects their daily lives so quickly.

The result: joy for both of us!
