So tell me...how is what you wrote above not an advertisement? How are you engaging us?
New Wave Advertising for Local Businesses
Grand Rapids, Michigan has splashed their community with a whole new kind of advertising. It's new and fresh- something the public hasn't become desensitized to. Actually, people are intrigued.
Admirroration is something that can captivate the minds of anyone who sees it; whether it's a 5 year old kid o a 65 year old adult. Basically, from what I have gathered in my whole 3-weeks into my internship with them is, Digital Mirror Advertising. Let’s face it, EVERYONE looks at themselves in the mirror when they walk into the restroom. As human beings, we like to know what we look like, if we have something stuck in our teeth, or in our nose, or if our hair looks like we've been driving with the window down. The idea struck my boss, Kim Downey, while visiting Europe. What they had was more "in-house" advertising, benefiting only the hotel or restaurant you were in. Kim had the idea of promoting "Local" businesses throughout communities. This is something that Grand Rapids (and I’m sure other fine cities around the World) prides themselves on is the idea of supporting businesses, "Local First." I can honestly say that I thought this was something awesome the first time I saw it. I knew it was something that I wanted to be a part of and I was stoked when Kim brought me on board.
Admirroration and its team(s) provide effective interactive advertising with style to its communities. Admirroration has successfully created multimedia advertising networks within communities by installing our smart advertising mirrors within high-traffic businesses. Once our mirrors are installed throughout a community, Admirroration enables local businesses, advertisers and brands to effectively target millions of consumers daily with a 65% Recall Rate.
Admirroration is NOT just another advertising firm. Admirroration's team is trained and has the appropriate tools to use to attract attention, engage minds, trigger emotions, and change what people think. All of which can lead to sales, attraction and ultimately local business growth. Each team member is not a sales person, but rather a consultant who will bring new ideas to the drawing board, manage your account from start to finish and coordinate all of your company's virtual exposure.
We are committed to connecting our communities to the digital world by providing text messaging advertising services, bar codes, web-links and other virtual tools while working with our clients to Go Green! Our mirrors air real live commercials and even have audio to capture everyone's attention.
Studies show that in today's fast-paced society, people have become desensitized to the older forums of advertising (i.e. newspapers, TV commercials, radio). Finally, mirror advertising engages its viewers, and then takes them into a virtual commercial world while standing in a private and uninterrupted environment. Admirroration always places their advertising mirrors in strategic places to ensure that this cutting-edge technology is guaranteed an audience. In these venues, viewers are less likely to be talking on their cellular phones, using an IPod, utilizing a DVR or any satellite services.
All of our mirrors and commercial designs are vibrant and eye-catching! There are no design limits!
Admirroration believes that without combining technology with 'leaps of imagination, or dreaming, we lose the excitement of possibilities. Dreaming, after all, is a form of planning'*.
Right now we are interested in spreading this franchise globally... If anyone out there would like to bring a strong sense of promoting local business in a whole new way to your own community- Admirroration is something worth checking into.

Jun 21, 2010 Well- to be honest with you...I'm new to this whole thing :) I didn't really know how else to introduce a business concept that people here in the US haven't seen before without going into detail about what it is we are trying to do. I thought that by giving a a full outlook on what we do would be interesting for those who are interested in a "Green" advertising. I just wanted people to check us out...ask questions... sorry if I did this all wrong.

Jun 22, 2010 Hi Lauren,
What I notice is that most people who post their own discussions on here do so to advertise, as opposed to engage. What I would have liked to have seen is a paragraph or two about what admirroration is as a concept, as opposed to something you are offering or something else that's informative as opposed to advertising...and also how is it relevant to social media and small businesses.
