Social media is growing leaps and bounds, seemingly everyday. It's easy for small businesses to get overwhelmed with all the changes, especially when you have to do all the upkeep of that and your business well.

How important is it to have a Fan Page? If you have one, how often should a post be made?

A fan page can be very useful, and as facebook gets more restrictive about the differences between personal and business profiles, may be necessary. I'd recommend commenting on it daily, and there are ways to connect your twitter account to your facebook page, to make this happen.

Thanks, Taylor. Another question about fan pages - are they more like a blog? I have connected my Twitter page to my personal Facebook page.

They aren't really like a blog. They are more like a specialized group focused on your business.

I don't have a fan page, but I do follow a few of them. I was actually given a discount for a event booth, because I was a fan of the event promoter!
