Subscribe to Teach Your Talent (TYT) - Discussion Introductions Anyone?

Hi,

With 145 members I think it's time to introduce ourselves and find out what everyone's unique talent is.

I'm a virtual assistant and bookkeeper, as well as a single mother. I love problem solving and writing, which is why I do what I do. As a bookkeeper I get to solve problems and get people on the right track with record keeping and goal setting. As a VA I write articles, put together newsletters and ezines and generally help out on a multitude of tasks. I love what I do and love sharing my skills with others.

OK, your turn. What do you do? What is your talent? What inspires you to do what you do?

Kristi

Expanding a dormant organizing business to provide Organizing for Caregivers, and going to Edmonds Community College for their Entrepreneurship and Small Business Management Certificate (Can I just make a new acronym and call it ESBM?? Sheesh!)

I was a professional tech writer and project manager (read organizer of words and organizer of people) and am currently helping out with resume writing for my fellow clients in ProLango career consulting. (You may have seen Paul Anderson on the cover of the NWJobs supplement, and a few other little-known places like the Wall Street Journal...:-)

And as of the time I am writing this, I am tag-teaming with the wife to be with our disabled child, who's latest is a bout of pneumonia while enjoying the hospitality of Children's Hospital here in Seattle.

Anyway, I can offer up lots of skills and interests so if anyone has an area they would like to spice up a meeting with, I might be able to provide a few minutes entertainment and insight. Or maybe just entertainment...:-)

I'm an energy healer/spiritual consultant. I call my business "Business Reiki" because I want to work with folks to help them align with their mission, vision, and values. Reiki is a healing modality typically used with the body, but it can easily apply to business as well and I've really enjoyed guiding people through blocks, and obstacles, into freedom and prosperity. I also offer feng shui consultation so your home office is working for you (not against you).

My company is Elevating Your Business and we work with women who own B2B companies by providing breakthrough solutions that cut their work hours in half and help them enjoy a business that runs like a well-oiled machine.

I'm an irrepressible entrepreneur, who entered the business world at 14, landed on Wall Street three years later, climbed the corporate ladder and broke through the glass ceiling. Fiercely determined and keenly insightful, I became a bond trader, working at formerlly well respected firms such as Merrill Lynch, Reynolds Securities, and Bear Strearns, at a time when female executives were as rare as pink diamonds.

I'm goal-driven, with a capital G, and I have two main career concentrations.

Photography - I create eye-catching product and marketing photography, and pet portraiture, in the greater Seattle area.

Website content review & editing- customer-focused, user-friendly design, logical and easy navigation, links that work, no spelling/grammar errors, fast-loading optimized images that support the mission; I care about those and know how to make them happen.

I love to find ways to make the website do the work with tech tools that save human time, preserve resources and make the customer experience go smoother and faster.

And I live to create photography that accomplishes its goals; whether it's an online cosmetics catalog, showcasing an architect's work, or a portrait of a cat.

I am an administrative assistant longing to be a public speaker on the topic of professional development. I host a blog entitled, The Office Professionals Place, in which I post articles on various subjects pertaining to today's office professional.

I am always looking for new and creative ways to "reach" this demographic of individuals to motivate, inspire, and most importantly educate.
